Blake rolled his stiff shoulders and looked around by the yellow light of the bendy reading lamp over his shoulder. He was ensconced in the saggy spot of his cushy green couch, comfy except that he hunched while he was reading. Bad for his shoulders.
He had a sweating glass of iced tea with lemon on the faded black steamer trunk he’d used for a coffee table since he graduated from college three years ago.
Blake looked around to see if anything had fallen. Everything looked in place along his overflowing book shelves (including the stacks of unfiled books on the floor beside them that he
