Eryn was a returning university student, meaning she was too preoccupied by classes to earn a livable wage from her part-time job. That kind of cash could change her life.

Poor tips at DeSanchez wouldn’t mean having to exchange less-than-ethical favors to get the landlord off her ass. She wouldn’t have to consider selling off the last few valuables she owned: a brandless guitar that only worked if she held the jack at the right angle, Jasper’s old locket which she’d sooner die than part with, and a set of premium studio headphones, without which all music seemed to sound flat and lifeless.
