Introduction

THE DIVINE LOVE OF Lord Shiva and Gauri is not just a love between a Divine Couple, but is also essentially the love between God and His devotee... Gauri, here is not just Lord Shiva's wife but she is also the greatest devotee of Lord Shiva! Through her journey of love, she gives this message to us all that whoever, with a pure heart and pure love like hers, will love God unconditionally, shall definitely attain His grace and love just like she did. Because He resides in all of us, in our hearts, He is the Soul of our souls.

Only what is required is that intensity of love for Him. The way we love our loved ones, the closest of our relatives. When His love makes us so restless for Him that we cry for Him, we crave to meet Him, then in reality devotion develops in a devotee's heart. Devotion that He only can give and that takes us towards Him... towards the Goal Supreme!

Gauri, from an ordinary human being became a Goddess and His Shakti, solely through the Intensity of her love for Lord Shiva! Because nothing else is True other than Him... there is no Love more pure than His. So if we really want to feel Divine Love then we have to connect with Him only, just like we connect to the person whom we love the most!

It is really true that when the whole heart is filled with God’s Love alone, simply then Divine Love can be experienced! And this can only be attained through undying Faith in Him always... at all times... through thick or thin. Then indeed comes Complete Surrender and Unconditional Love for God that gives the true meaning to human life.

I REALLY DON’T HAVE words to thank my Lord Shiva, who is the sole reason and inspiration behind all my efforts. It is His imagination and not mine, because I can feel Him when I write for Him. It was His Divine Force that made me write all of this; so all the credit goes only to Him who wrote through me. 

This book would not have been possible had it not been for the undying support of my parents, who were always there beside me in all my decisions, forever having firm faith in me. Without their loving encouragement, I never would have been able to follow my dreams...

Divine Love

SWAMI VIVEKANANDA, an Indian Hindu monk and chief disciple of the 19th-century  exceptionally great saint Sri Ramakrishna Paramahansa, was an unmatched philosopher and one of the makers of modern India. He has taught the true meaning of Spirituality to the world by inspiring millions through his fiery words bubbling with spirituality and positive energy. He has said that, "It is Meditation that brings us nearer to Truth than anything else! Repeating the name of God has wonderful power! Japa is repeating the Holy Name; through this the devotee rises to the Infinite. Man becomes Pure by repeating the name of God."

Meditation and Japa make our heart pure, and God only resides in a pure heart. Purity... which is the one and only requirement for being close to God, since only a pure hearted soul can realize God. One who has purity, surely wins His love! But Faith in God is most essential for Japa. It is indispensable to have complete Faith in God before taking up the spiritual path of meditation and Japa, because then only can we get fully benefited from them. Otherwise they become mere mechanical spiritual exercises!

If one wants to be near to God, to know and love God, then the only way is Meditation... it is the key to His Heart, as Meditation purifies the mind and body and makes the individual fit enough for Divine Blessings! Then only God blesses us with His True Devotion and Divine Love, that is the zenith of spirituality; when through this Love, God and His devotee become One in this human life itself... which is the Only Aim of Human Birth!

Faith in ourselves, faith in God, this is the secret to greatness. Losing faith in one's self means losing faith in God! asserts Swami Vivekananda. This clearly signifies that when there is no faith in God, there is no faith left in one’s own self, and then without faith, we lose our very essence... the fact that we are divine souls,
