Dr Manjusha Mohan

Dr Manjusha is a dental surgeon (endodontist) by profession residing in Lucknow. She is an ardent devotee of Lord Shiva. Writing both prose & poetry for the love of the Great Lord is her passion. She also loves singing for Him & is currently learning Indian classical music. I DEDICATE THIS BOOK to my most beloved friend Debra, whose unconditional pure love & devotion for God, the effulgent rays of which have penetrated my heart, is the motivational force behind this compilation of soul stirring letters. An ardent devotee of Lord Shiva, she has always been my guiding angel and inspiration. A Divine Invitation

IT ALL STARTED WITH a Link... Out of love and devotion for her Lord Shiva, Sudishna made a web page in a forum dedicated to His Divine Love. She invited her online friends to visit that page. Earlier, she came across a post by another forum member named Debra, which somehow attracted her attention. Though being a non-Indian, Debra’s interest in Lord Shiva made Sudishna feel that maybe Debra might like to have a look at her page. So, Sudishna sent the link to her. And soon after, Sudishna got this beautiful reply from Debra that instantly bound them together in an eternal bond of mutual reverence, love and friendship.

Debra answered:  Thank you very much for your thoughts and kindness. I will review everything later this evening. I believe our Beloved Shiva truly has His Presence upon us. I too am so in love with Shiva. I always have Shiva YouTubes playing his bhajans with visuals going all the time. My home is charged with his Presence. I cannot get enough. I will write you more, afterwards. And yes, definitely I will go to the link you sent me and absorb it all. I just glanced at it now, as I must be on my way. It is so beautiful. I can't wait to get back and explore all that you have posted. I so appreciate your love, and everyone who is on the forum. It is definitely Blessed and Divine. Much love to you.

Sudishna thanked Debra for her wonderfully positive response:  Thanks a Ton for so much appreciation! I am so happy to know that you also are a True Devotee of Lord Shiva. Therefore, as a Devotee of my Lord, I felt like sharing my spiritual journey with you. I was intensely attracted to my Lord Shiva much before the TV serial on Mahadev happened... although it has helped me enormously in coming closer to Him. I have not married because I madly fell in love with my Lord and made Him my Divine Husband... I am 36 yrs old now. Many years have passed and the beauty of loving Him is such that with each passing day, my love for Him, which is actually given by Him only, grows deeper and more and more intense, making me forget everything else... It is my Lord Shiva only who writes or creates... it all is His imagination and not mine. Really, because I never had this capacity in me... I am only able to write or create like this because my Lord Shiva wants me to be His medium for reaching out to those whom He wants to make God intoxicated... the way He has made me. 

Just 2 hours later, Sudishna got a totally unexpected yet truly pleasant surprise, as she received another mail from Debra, who very affectionately and honestly praised her writing.

Debra:  Sudi, I am in absolute awe and almost disbelief of the beauty and love in your heart that you are able to express through words. This is so incredible. How much must you feel to be able to write like this and have such love flowing through you! I wish I had a couple of days not to do anything or see anyone but only to read, absorb, meditate and feel all that you are writing. I would be in an absolute heaven. During the day, I take care of work, etc. and all day I wait for the time for me to go to my room at bedtime. My altar, of course, is dedicated to Lord Shiva, with a Shiva Nataraj beautiful statue. I have two Shiva Lingams and after I give my devotions and prayers, every night I slowly pour milk on the Shiva Lingams. I have bought quite a few of the LED candles and they turn on in the bedroom every night at 9:00 pm and turn off five hours later so I go to bed with them on. I also burn two special candles during my communion with our Lord. Three weeks ago, I bought a little Wi-Fi Flat Screen TV - so when I am finished with my devotions and rituals, I turn on the YouTube on the TV and watch my favorite YouTubes, Om Namah Shivaya and watch all the beautiful pictures and meditate to my Lord. This is how I go to bed every night and the candles lit in the room. They turn off automatically after I have fallen asleep. I am going to read what you have written afterwards at my bedtime when I meditate to the Lord. I can't believe that our Beloved Shiva has put me in contact with someone who loves him so much as I do. I greatly honor you for that. I am sending you my deepest love. I know you are being overshadowed by Shiva. He feels every feeling and so loves the minutest drop of adoration given to Him. May you forever be blessed with His overshadowing Presence.

With a heart overflowing with love and happiness at meeting this sweet devotee of her Lord, Sudishna replied: Dear Debra, Thank you so much for your lovely reply... for praising my devotion towards my Lord Shiva and for sharing with me your spiritual journey too. Knowing such a pure hearted Lord Shiva Devotee like you and sharing these divine feelings of devotion is a bliss that materialistic people can't ever apprehend. When I read about the way you do your daily prayers and commune with the Great Lord, I got goosebumps! I am so much impressed by your Pure Love, Devotion and Supreme Surrender towards Lord Shiva. I feel so proud and lucky that I came to know you, who is on such a high plane of Spirituality. I really bow down to your Devotion, dear friend. I too find maximum solace, peace and happiness in worshipping Him, in the privacy of my room. I love to sing and dance in the privacy of my room for Him... as it is a very powerful form of worshipping the Lord. I started learning vocal music 2 years back so that I could sing better in order to please Him... as you know, music is the divine chord that directly pulls God to His Devotee and takes the Devotee to a very
