    The Storm

And He (Jesus) said to them, Why are you afraid? How is it that you have no faith?" Mark 4:40 NASV

On that day, when evening came, He said to them, Let us go over to the other side. Leaving the crowd, they took Him along with them in the boat, just as He was, and other boats were with Him.

And there arose a fierce gale of wind, and the waves were breaking over the boat so much that the boat was already filling up.

Jesus Himself was in the stern, asleep on the cushion, and they woke Him and said to Him, "Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?

On that day, when evening came, He said to them; Let us go over to the other side. Leaving the crowd, they took Him along with them in the boat, just as He was; and other boats were with them. Mark 4:35-36

Jesus was the one sending them out on the water. Jesus was in the boat, calling them out, taking them away from the crowd.

They did not expect a storm right around the corner. Have you ever felt this way? You’re just living your life, and suddenly things happen beyond your control, something you never expected, and can’t control at all?

But it was different for the disciples, wasn’t it? They had Jesus right there with them. They could see Him, know Him, and follow Him. Then something happened that they didn’t expect; a storm. It was not an ordinary storm. It was a fierce storm that
