In the darkness of the night, Ethan, a 50-year-old criminal investigator, quietly walks along the wall of an abandoned barn. He stops near the front door and puts his index finger on his mouth to signal his partner to be discreet. Stan understands the message and stops in turn. Ethan, who holds his Glock-19 firmly in his hands, nods his head towards the door so that Stan can open the barn door. He hesitates for a moment. Ethan gives him another sign to open the door. Stan reluctantly opens it. The door makes a creaking noise that gives goose bumps. Stan points his gun into the void, lights his flashlight and enters fearfully into the dark. Meanwhile, Ethan is watching the place outside. Nothing to disturb him. Inside the barn, a sound emanates from a place that Stan cannot locate. The tension is rising, but the experienced police officer does not give in to panic. From the corner of his eye, he sees something moving quickly in his direction. Stan immediately points his gun at the threat, but the vampire takes advantage of his speed to bite him on the neck before the investigator hits the target. Under the pain, Stan moans, drops his gun and falls to the ground.

    Stan

Argh! Damn it! The sucker! Ethan! Ethan!

Alerted by the screams, Ethan rushes to his long-time partner in the barn. He leans over him and examines his neck wound.

    Ethan

You should survive. Your carotid artery hasn't been touched.

    Stan

Hurry up! Don't worry about me. They're going to run away.

Ethan comes out of the barn and sees the vampire in the distance running away while holding the hand of a young woman. He points his gun at the vampire and pulls the trigger without hesitation. In the quietude of the night, the loud detonation sound can be heard within a large radius. The 9mm caliber projectile hits the vampire in the right shoulder.

    Victor

    Argh!

He collapses to the ground and brings down the woman with him. He moans in pain but manages to get up.

    Victor

    Let’s go!

Victor brings the woman with him. Ethan pulls the trigger once again. The woman screams. The bullet lodges into a tree very close to the fugitives.

    Ethan

Damn it! You won’t go away…

He tries again to shoot, but the vampire and the young woman are now out of reach. He lowers his gun and goes to join his colleague who has crawled outside the barn. Ethan takes out his CB radio.

    Ethan

    241. Bitten bitter officer. I need an ambulance.

Far from the police officers, Victor and Tessa manages to open the doors of a 1995 Ford Taurus parked in the entrance of a house. She sits in the driver's seat and
