Brothers Crowley

About this ebook
Detective Thane Crowley is nobody’s best friend. While he may have been promoted early in his career for the dubious honor of sending his own brother to the Black Creek Correctional Facility for the Magically Afflicted, he’s not the guy that grabs a beer after work with the fellas. Now, don’t misunderstand, he’s a fine cop. You need a certain brand of “tough bastard” to throw cuffs onto a 600-lb troll with a hard-on for abducting women and drinking cheap tequila, and Thane Crowley is that tough bastard. It’s the little things that he’s not so good at. Should he be drinking on the job? Maybe not. Should he be sleeping with the wife of a crime boss? Definitely not. It’s these little things and magic. He can’t stand magic, but it seems to drip from every unclosed case file on his desk.
Thane’s ready to throw in the badge and leave the city when a tweaker tears off the arm of a bystander while hopped up on a nasty blend of magic and crystal meth. The department is clueless, but the chief has a solution. While it’s difficult to find an expert on the subject of magic, seeing as it’s outlawed, there’s someone that may be willing to help. Andy. Thane’s brother (the one that he’d locked away for magical mal-practice) is released under probationary conditions. All an ex-con wizard has to do to stay out of the big house is work with the guy that put him there. Faced with magically infused drugs that threaten chaos, will the brothers’ awkward alliance be enough to save Atlanta?
