About this ebook

"This is a gripping book, and I read it in one sitting. If you liked The Paradigm trilogy by Ceri Lowe, or IBoy, you will enjoy this" — Zombie Inkpot

It’s 2026, and the world teeters on the edge of catastrophe.

Storms, earthquakes, and floods assault our vulnerable planet.

Young prophet Billy Kingdom has survived his horrifying plunge into the freezing waters of the River Thames, and a brutal battle with his once close friend Tawny Lang and the other psychic warriors created by the ruthless organisation, Project 9:6.

But now he faces a do-or-die situation.

His mother and pregnant sister, Daisy, have been kidnapped and trafficked to London by Project 9:6.

Its founders believe Daisy carries in her womb a “saviour” foretold by a message that originated in the far reaches of the universe, which was picked up by SETI, the search for extra-terrestrial intelligence.

Now Billy must forge an alliance of angels and gangsters to break into Project 9:6’s underground lair and confront the immense power of the young prophets, led by the heartbroken Tawny.

If they fail, Daisy will be sacrificed in an ancient ritual — and the universe and all within it will be destroyed by the very force that created it...

IT’S 2026. The world is falling apart. Wars and natural disasters blight the planet. Many predict the end is coming. But teenagers like Billy Kingdom and Tawny Lang can see it coming. They’re dreaming about catastrophes before they happen. It’s a gift — or maybe a curse. Because someone knows about these kids. Someone knows they have psychic ability. One night a secret organization called 9:6 kidnaps all the teens and transports them to an underground compound known as The Caves. Run by the Bleak family, 9:6 claims to want to harness the youngsters’ powers to help save the planet. But in truth they have more sinister goals in mind. 9:6 has picked up a signal from a distant star — a signal that contains an ancient prophecy about a saviour who will heal the world.

Daisy Kingdom was wired up to monitors. Tubes ran from her mouth and her nose. They fed her oxygen; they fed her barbiturates. A medic hovered about in the lab where Daisy lay. He was checking her heart rate, checking her blood pressure; checking the baby’s vital signs.

Her erratic behaviour, her threats of violence, had endangered not just technicians, but herself and her baby too. Her own safety wasn’t that important, of course. Only while she carried the foetus. After it was born, she would be of no use to them. And Robin was itching to get rid of her. It would feel like revenge on Billy Kingdom.

He had been a thorn in their side from the beginning. After the incident at the Thames, when Billy had thrown himself into the water, Robin had thought he was dead.

But no. He came back, somehow; lived through
