Many people know of the great Greek poet Sappho, Fragments of her poetry yet exist that show  a brilliant and sensitive poet far ahead of her times.

Compared to the minimal information we have about the life and times of the great Greek poetess Sappho, the world of Ibid. is a small barren cubbyhole.

We know that he lived in Greece around 480-420 A.D.  and had a predilection for pita.  When Herecditus wrote his masterful history  of the Greco-Persian wars in his book The  Histories, he was considered a pioneer in the world of history writing and many of his contemporaries  were understandably awed.
