Coppel started his career as a writer after serving as a fighter pilot in theUnited States Army Air Forcesduring World War II.He became one of the most prolificpulp magazineauthors of the 1950s and 1960s, with about 60 short science fiction stories and 10 novels.Let’s go back in time almost 69 years ago.
