I am sitting here in my office trying to remember the last time I took a vacation. I am constantly busy with my goals and really trying to exceed expectations at work. Sometimes I wonder if it is my expectations that I am exceeding. I really do not want to lose myself and what I stand for but things do get blurry sometimes. I just want to leave behind all this work place politics for a few days.

There was even more drama at our work place holiday party when our CEO and Sheila decided to air out each other dirty laundry in front of everyone. Sheila had too much and decided to confront the CEO about their extramarital affair. I know the only person that will suffer from all this ordeal is Sheila. I would care more about her feelings if she wasn’t such an ass to me. You know what, time for me to book a flight and get the hell out of here for the rest of the holidays with my husband. Money is not really an issue but I want to go somewhere exotic or different. This five night trip to Brussels seems to pretty amazing. It is a place I have never visited and I am sure Paul would not mind at all. Maybe it’s because I feel like I truly escape my life for a while when I am in a foreign place. Don’t get me wrong, I am living a dream life because I am in my dream job doing a lot of big things. However, I feel that the success does cause a lot pressure which leads to anxiety. Time for to unwind in a foreign city and get lost in a new adventure.
