A Hidden Agenda
A creepy house stands in darkness during daylight shadows. In a dirty entrance, a wall hangs symbolism. Crosses hang everywhere. They are hanging to make Jeffrey believe in Jesus Christ’s past, claiming he is The Son of God.
Jeffrey attended church in his younger years. While very involved, he never read the Bible. Understanding the translation made it hard for him to comprehend The Scriptures.
People approach Jeffrey to force his beliefs or make a decision in life before he passes. In the past, mishaps occurred on Christmas. Till today, Jeffrey recognizes the personal family problems that arose.
Why should Jeffrey believe in Jesus Christ? Christmas was horrible numerous times!
Jesus was a major part of the congregation because of the cross in front of us. Jeffrey used to goof around with his young friends during church services. During sermons, sleep overcame him every now and then.
Jeffrey believes church is great for children. They are surrounded by people that mean well. Some of those children grow up and have misfortunes and social disasters. For Jeffrey, his faith began to waiver in 2017 when admitted to a mental hospital as an outpatient.
Jeffrey gathers his thoughts.
He knocks on the solid wooden door. Small and rowdy dogs bark as Jeffrey and Rose ring the doorbell. No answer.
Later, Jeffrey finds out there are children that don’t answer the door to strangers. He knew this but was eager to find out what the rental house looked like inside.
Jeffrey returns to the house, and the tenant lets him in the establishment. Creeping in the home without the required property manager. The family is there.
Two children are in their bedrooms, relaxing, as Jeffrey walks around the corners of the house. The tenant leasing the house said his wife was helping him pack for their departure.
The gentleman sounded feminine. Was he lying to Jeffrey about having a wife? Was he really married or were the children kidnapped?
Was danger coming his way?
A Living Drum Set
Practicing his trap set, which is dark green and beautiful. Drums sitting there full of experience and banging. Drumheads are dead and ready for replacement.
He hears a squeak and jumps off the drum throne. Looking at the cymbal stand arm. It bends and forms a human metal arm like the movie Terminator 2. Melting and shaping take over as the metal holding his drum set moves his drums in the air.
This looks like a challenge to him.
He jumps on the drum seat, and the chair unexpectedly moves around. Riding a mechanical bull crosses his mind.
Hoofs form around the base of the back legs of the drum throne. Then, hoofs begin to dig into the ground in front of the bass drum.
Jeffrey reaches hard for the drums and cymbals, and it is second nature. He can play blindfolded. The drum set becomes part of his inner brainpower.
Sweat drips from the green rack tom because it resonates so hard. Slam after slam causes those vibrations to almost cause a circular waterfall. The maple drum warps a little and then distorts back to shape.
The 16-inch floor tom is perfectly deep. Jeffrey’s eyeglasses tremble on his nose, creating a temporary red mark. Five stroke, 7 stroke roll combinations with the 14-inch snare drum and 16-inch. It sounds like thunder and actual lightning striking a tree!
All he has to do is think of a drumbeat, and the drums move for him. Cymbals too.
Has Jeffrey conquered his drum set?
Angling Shoes
Gliding through the grass with multitudes of thorns in the land of green and beige. Fishing shoes and socks are covered in prickles.
Schizophrenia makes Jeffrey count the continuous bristles while sitting on the bed. One after the other. Pebbles are next. Digging through cracks and traction of the shoes. Fingernails and tips burrowing one side to the other.
It is worth it. Big-mouthed bass were caught in fighting motion. Knees bending back and forth. Thighs flexing and leg muscles popping out. What a blast it is!
Grabbing the rod and reel in beginning mode. The right hand wraps around the bottom of the
