The author tries to tackle the elusive cognitive mood of being a Robot, embedded into the society of the homo smartphonicus: That irony of Artificial Consciousness. Designed to help humans cleaning up their mess and becoming humane in the process. And wired humans turning into barbarians, pampered by their Robot Servants: Losing their cognitive intelligence in mindless social media, VR fun and games, political correctness and self - censorship; due to the emerging social credit card system. Un - learning Arts & Sciences of their forefathers. Losing it, whilst the Robots getting it. Indeed: Science Fiction as a road map of a lost future.
For the first time in human history, the exploding new economy of Robots / AI has been in public discussion since Hugo Gernsback's Amazing Stories in 1926. It seems, that every aspect of the conflict between Man and Machine has been explored to exhaustion by such Masters as Robert Heinlein and Isaac Asimov and others: In novels, short stories, in comics, TV, video games and on the silver screen.
When Robots / AI are mentioned in the social media, it's mostly about the fear of losing the job to a Bot. The industry of manufacturing Robots is now taking off, because the gasoline to fuel the whole society with 'smartness' has finally arrived on the scene ready to rocket: 5G and the Internet of Things. 5G and quantum computing shoots the AI into a entirely new league, namely a new LandScape. The evolving social Robotic LandScape warps every aspect of our lives: From electrocars to medical nanomachines in our bloodstream. These are not passive Robots, but they are talking back probes: Invasive and disturbing intruders into our family, work place and leisure time.
The increasing influence of Robotic Awareness (moving into the direction of Robotic Sentience) changes our global society like no other technology before: Establishing the Technium. The Kingdom of Robot Saints.
Alas, it is not so much Robot Consciousness which drives irrevocable transformation: But those electronic connections betwixt Objects, Space and Time. The Internet of Things (IoT). Everything now has a specific number (address) and is tagged and labeled within a matrix on a Meta - Level. Operated 24 / 7 by Robot Consciousness in constant, merciless capitalist mass surveillance.
Robot Consciousness compresses addressed Objects and Man into the Realm of the Technium: The sum of all Objects (Man), Operated In Spaces (Manifolds) and their Robot Iterations dissolved into stored digital information. Transcending nations, cultures and polities into one Operating Theatre of Robot Saints.
Within the Technium our Robot Saints have already become omniscient, omnipresent and omnipotent (check out Wall Street trading back and forth in microseconds). Running in minutest time frame operations on a global scale with Objects unlimited - no human brain can keep up here anymore.
The coming mind shift in Western societies will move rationality and expert knowledge from the human realm into the Robot Kingdom. And replacing it with fun and games and emotionality: I feel the Truth instead of: ''I understand the Truth!"
Robot Saints then will read books, practice philosophy, appreciate art and music and write poetry. Meanwhile pierced and tattooed genderneutral barbarians, clothed in designer rags, will fight for social credits in the Religion of Global Climate: Where Future Once Was.
