Building a NTM is written for sentient Robots. In order to build a human Consciousness. Psychiatry & Psychology are still operating in the stone age; when compared to physics and engineering. That is why we are still unable to manufacture intelligent Robots (AI). Because we don't understand how people tick. We need the assistance of Robots (AI) to make workable models of human Consciousness.
Most of the time Psychotherapists (like the author) don't know what's going on in the black box called 'client'. Thus Fr.Axel shifts here the vantage point from the geocentric view towards a heliocentric vista of Consciousness itself. Namely; that there are infinite Consciousnesses out in the multiverse. Human Consciousness is nothing special.
This visual book approaches the construction from the phenomenological-engineering side. Thereby the author emphasizes space as a building metaphor for early habituation and cognizance in Non-Trivial Machines. Shifting biological external environment into cognitive thinkspace over time. Robots (AI) can operate in and with spatial representations. But they are unable to understand high context-low details and the meaning derived from it.

Father Axel

Father Axel is an ordained Taoist Priest in the II.Generation. He founded the Tomorrow Tao Ministry and became a Council Member of the Religious Leaders of the Philippines. His educational background is in Counseling Psychotherapy, Human Engineering, NLP and Ericksonian Hypnotherapy. THE HEART OF TAO SYSTEM

INTRODUCTION

The book you are holding in your hands, is my attempt to teach Robots how to build human Consciousness: Consciousness Engineering. Before we try to build cognitive Robots, we should (at least basically) understand how human Consciousness operates. Once we know, what people do inside their heads, we can use that knowledge for the assembly of sentient Robots.

1968: I have to explore space. Converting our living room (by dissecting my Kasperletheater) into a miniature Cocoa Beach launching pad. Using the blue plywood sheets of the poppet theatre. To construe a Gemini capsule; right under our dining table. With lots of plastic trash to build control panels. Some alarm clock is readied to count me down for the lift - off. Still doing this stuff - but sublimated: Consciousness Engineering.

Basically, Consciousness Engineering has two goals:

When I worked in 1991 on the applications of VR in Psychotherapy (NLP), my only sources of information about this reality bending technology were NASA (Jesco von Putkamer) and Jaron Lanier. NASA was using then head - mounted displays for alien environmental trainings. And Jaron Lanier was making virtual music in artificial worlds. That was also the year, when I bought my first Nintendo Game Boy. And explored 'coinbumping' Super Mario Land; whilst living on a airport in Hungary. The first vestiges of VR had arrived in the real world. And have changed our Western society subsequently into Pokemon No Go zones.

What my authority figures coined as catch - all 'utopist schizophrenia' in the 1960s, is called 'futurism' in the 21st century: 2017 will mark the very year, when sentient Robots became wired into the counseling systems of insurance, banking and customer services. Making the call - centre industry (especially in the Philippines) soon obsolete. 2017 also introduced us to the first sexy-caring - motherlike virtual home Robot; courtesy of Akihabara's Gatebox. And Hatsune Miku初音ミク still dances under 10 000 stars in sold out live concerts.
