About this ebook

Bayleigh is looking to graduate college...alive. She works hard and is serious about doing the right thing. Her crazy roommate is more stray cat than good friend and convinces her to go out one night.

How bad could having fun be?

Spencer is a man who gets what he wants when he wants it. His past is as dark as his club, aptly named Purgatory. Meeting Bayleigh puts a wrench into his plans, one that could have this bad boy walking the straight and narrow.

Angel is a novella related to the Revenge & Legacy world and can be read on its own.

    Dedication

    My Darling Reader,

This story previously appeared in Mouth: A Steamy Anthology from October 2015 until January 2016 with the proceeds benefiting women’s breast cancer awareness. Since that time, the story has remained the same, but sparked a whole new world of characters. Angel: A Revenge & Legacy World Novella is not quite a prequel as it doesn’t happen before the Revenge & Legacy series, but instead occurs during-ish... It can be read and enjoyed completely on its own.

    Bayleigh

The evening started with a shoe bouncing off the bed and a dress that floated over me. Slowly, my eyes follow it landing in slow motion, nothing substantial, just a bit of gossamer fabric. Bayleigh, you haven’t left this shit hole in a week. You work, you study, and you broke up with…. A long and sharp painted fingernail tapped against her chin. What’s his name again? I watched Jodi, my roommate, pace back and forth. Her hands flailed in that way that reflected her stereotypical Italian heritage and her irritation with me.

Sitting on my bed in our shared room, I picked fuzz off a blanket to give myself something to focus on besides her intimidating presence, hoping she would leave me alone. Derek was his name. Answering her question earns silence, but it only lasts a moment before she launches into me again.

"Right, he was so last semester…." No chance of her leaving me alone now. Jodi seemed to think about something, making my gut clench, wondering what bad thing she was going to try and drag me into. This girl had been trouble since I met her.

Mmmhmm. Mumbling seemed better because I couldn’t commit to anything she says, at least not right away without putting up some kind of fight first. Lying back on the bed, I fitted my head against my fluffy pillow and close my eyes, imagining a peaceful place where roommates, school and responsibility dissolved into nothingness.

Girlfriend, I swear your hymen is going to grow back without my help. I wasn’t so sure I wanted her help with my downstairs department, in any case. Cracking my eyelids open from my prone position, I could see what the hell Jodi Malone was doing—still pacing the room, throwing clothes unceremoniously from our single closet.

Sighing, I recalled how I met Jodi the previous summer. She was crying her eyes out in a gas station bathroom near our college campus over a married man. Imagine
