Soul Music The Colour Of Magic - David Ellis

Soul Music The Colour Of Magic

    A Poetry Collection

    By David Ellis

    Intro/Preface

Thank you for purchasing this book and supporting the author with your interest in poetry, along with embracing the opportunity to read poems that experiment with both free-form / free verse structure and traditional forms/styles.

The poetry in this particular volume predominantly embraces themes of an inspirational nature and how our emotional responses to situations can influence our lives in cathartic, enchanting, even spellbinding ways.

It is said that music can speak to our very souls, bringing us hope, courage, serenity, joy, awe, peace within ourselves and ultimately generate love unlike any other feeling we have ever encountered before. I believe that our words have a rhythmic magic of their own, their musicality inspiring us to move mountains with our minds.

The poems included here regularly explore love/romance motifs and some even indulge in the occasional sprinkling of humour throughout the pieces.

I am very lucky to have made the acquaintance of esteemed poet and author Vijaya Gowrisankar, who has very kindly written a foreword for this collection for you all to enjoy before the poems begin.

My award-winning debut poetry collection is also still available and can be purchased at your favourite book retailers. It is called ‘Life, Sex & Death – A Poetry Collection’.
