Connor Whiteley

Hello, I'm Connor Whiteley, I am an 18-year-old who loves to write creatively, and I wrote my Brownsea trilogy when I was 14 years old after I went to Brownsea Island on a scout camp. At the camp, I started to think about how all the broken tiles and pottery got there and somehow a trilogy got created. Moreover, I love writing fantasy and sci-fi novels because you’re only limited by your imagination. In addition, I'm was an Explorer Scout and I love camping, sailing and other outdoor activities as well as cooking.Furthermore, I do quite a bit of charity work as well. For example: in early 2018 I was a part of a youth panel which was involved in creating a report with research to try and get government funding for organised youth groups and through this panel. I was invited to Prince Charles’ 70th birthday party and how some of us got in the royal photograph. Finally, I am going to university and I hope to get my doctorate in clinical psychology in a few years.

    Garro - Connor Whiteley

    prologue

    Peace, love, and compassionate.

That’s what we were. Those were our values, our principles.

They were what made us and shaped who we were.

Before the coming of the Order.

Once the Iarannthans were a vast galactic empire expanding to million upon billions of solar systems. Effectively we rule the galaxy.

We had a vast trading network filed with your wildest dream, with products ranging from luxuries spaceships to golds, silver, and diamonds.

    We were kind, caring creatures.

However, that was never going to last.

After you, stupid humans decided to attack as well as self-proclaim yourselves as the righteous ruling for each world you touched.

A small yet influential fraction of our empire decided to revolt against you.

Following that, other alien empires decided to follow, and soon the Order was formed and we; the great and divine Iarannthans were left behind; we’re mere fragments of a once vast empire.

Nevertheless, when the Order came to us and asked for our loyalty. We were offered one choice: help us destroy humans or face extinction.

    I chose the latter.

For I saw within you a chance to change. A chance for redemption. An opportunity for a better galaxy.

Nonetheless, the Order did not listen. Instead, they decided to attack you, and here we are today with this murderous war.

However, I must ask humans: what did you think happened to us after we refused?

We were attacked in a massacre. Our empire burned bright. While you ignorant went on fighting your expansion war. You wanted power. I wanted to live, and you couldn’t even help with that.

I send message after message to you, and you merely deleted each message.

After the Order got to my throne world, they gave me another choice. Die or submit.

    Again, I chose the latter.

Although this time it was different.

All my men, women, and children were tortured, as well as mutilated. In the end, they were what you see before you today.

Robotic wolves, robotic soldiers, and more unspeakable horrors.

I must confess the Order was clever, very clever as a result of when they were torturing us they made us focus on our hate for humanity as it abandoned us. To this fate.

Therefore, humans, I hope you’re happy because my thy hand the false saviours of the universe shall be slain.

    chapter 1

Shots screamed through the cold evil air as Garro and Maura ran to cover in the metal maze. That was the command relay network station in the Mort system.

Garro bellowed: Kortana open this door quickly!

    The Basicans hunters advanced.

Maura quickly planted a shot in their chests with supernatural accuracy.

Come on Kortana! Maura pleads as more enemies approached.

    They were clearly outnumbered.

    I’m trying, Kortana replied.

Garro heard about three battlesuits marching up the cold metallic corridors towards them.

With an extension of a mere hand, Garro managed to magic up a large river of oil to prevent the advance from reaching them quick.

Maura in her new green military uniform. Lighted a stick bomb and threw it her their attacks.

However, when the explosion happened while it did kill their hunters. It did light the oil as well.

Smoke filled the corridor as well as without a gas mask Maura would soon die.

Unless the quickly advancing fire wouldn’t burn her first.

    Kortana!

    Yes, Garro almost,

    Silence.

    Almost,

Maura’s uniform started to heat up.

    Got it!

The two warriors stumped through the door.

    Thank you, Kortana, Garro smiled.

    Maura had a disapproving look.

Next time Maura you aren’t more than welcome to try yourself but bear in mind this is one the most secure station in the galaxy,

    Sorry,

Garro marched over to the alien holographic table in the middle of the copper red hexagonal control chamber. That was lined with vast communication consoles at the walls.

What are you hoping to find Garro? Kortana inquired.

It’s not what I’m hoping to find. I’m hoping that if you can find something of interest about Hiuidium as well as troop movement,

I apologise, but that’s on a different system I would have to be literally inside the system for that,

Maura wondered over to one of the consoles herself to conduct some research.

Garro unplugged Kortana from his armour and plugged her into the central mainframe.

To Kortana, this was an incredible network. Filled with beautiful binary code and information. She was in bliss.

    Kortana report,

Being the master of technology, she was, with a mere thought, she brought up everything on local troop movement.

In addition, she didn’t like her finding.

Garro recent movements suggest that there’s a large gathering happening on Hiuidium as part of some celebration of… an Imperial week for the burning of Hiuidium,

    What’s that? Maura inquired.

Garro gave her a sharp look: It’s an Order's measurement of time. Nobody really knows how long it actually is, but our best guess is about 300,000 years,

    Okay, Kortana concluded.

How long until the full fleet gets there? Garro asked.

    Three Earth days,

Maura pointed to something on her screen: This says that there have been some solar flares happening over Hiuidium recently and there’s scares over it those flares could destroy their fleets,

    It shouldn’t, Garro reported.

Wait, Kortana stated, as she returned to work. Creating something. If we create a message calling out to all ships that would be going there that the celebration has been cancelled due to destructive solar flares. Plus, if we say that this station is no longer active from Order of the Cineachan Lords,

Which will take weeks to clarify because the lords are in the Ghost system, Garro added.

Then no one will question the orders, and the fleet will be no more, Maura finished.

A monstrous thundering bang landed on the door as the Basicans tried to force the door down.

They can’t get through that it’s diamond coated, Maura reassured herself.

The door was starting to bend.

Kortana sent that message now! Garro ordered as the door exploded in.

Garro launched a tornado of purple fire at the foes.

Maura fired off five well-aimed shot.

Send it. Get me out of here!

With that Garro smashed a skull of a newly arrived Iarannthan wolf. Jumped over to the table, extracted Kortana and they fled.

Charging through the same old passageway as earlier, Garro questioned: What information did you get on Hiuidium?

Enough, this, plus that Captain Jutan’s information we should have enough intelligence to create an action plan,

Maura, as well as Garro, stormed into the hanger. Where their Kingfisher landed in wait.

Although, the Kingfisher wasn’t alone as ten battlesuits armed with atomic bombs surrounded it.

Well, Maura tried to say something useful, but nothing came out.

    The battlesuits fired.

The Grandmaster raised a shield as the bombs obliviated the ship along with the battlesuits.

The vacuum of space started to suck them out.

Any bright ideas Garro? Kortana plead.

    Why of course,

    Do you care to share?

As they went over the edge, the girls screamed in fear’s purest of forms. They were going to die surely.

When they opened their eyes seconds later, they saw that they were back on the bridge of the Fist of Magicum.

I told you that I had a plan,

Grandmaster, I’m detecting a substantial thermal energy build up in the station’s core, a well -dress female petty officer reported.

Thank you. Well, those idiotic battlesuits must have punched through the cooling systems and into the station’s primal core,

Maura looked very concerned: Garro don’t those stations carry addition atomic bombs as well as other highly dangerous material used in very long-range communications?

The Grand Master suddenly realized what she was saying.

Admiral Torical get us out now!

Garro pressed the battle station alarm.

Grand Master, why are we panicking?

One station has exploded before, and it destroyed a whole solar system before!

The whole fleet started to shake as the station was preparing to denotate.

As a result, the whole fleet; with all hell’s rage; raced off into the distance.

    Then… it exploded.

Like a supernova, the energy started to gain upon the fleet.

    Emergency Slide space now!

    Where to? Torical desperately asked.

    Hiuidium!

As an emergency, a massive Slidespace portal opened, and the fleet were off.

Not before the supernova had claimed two ships from the back and damaged twenty others.

Yet has this alerted the Order to Garro’s presence and if so how does that affect the mission?

    chapter 2

Order politics- such a wonderful and exciting topic. Full of diplomacy, violence and ultimately death.

For example: in the Iarannthan Government there’s a lot of different vital pieces to make up this absolute monarchy. As a result, you have the King; of course; however, since you have trillions upon trillions of battlefronts as well as troops to direct. Let alone each planet and fleet the Iarannthans oversee; this makes the hierarchy of the Government studly complex.

Also, you have all the various self-servicing fractions of the Iarannthans who can serve their own agenda as long as it doesn’t conflict with the intergalactic laws nor does it conflict with the Order’s primary mission.

Consequently, you must have a legal
