This book is a collection of blogs and reviews published on the net on various popular websites. These essays function more like opinion essays dissecting the very nature of being, becoming, withdrawal and the attainment of perfection. The movie and book reviews don't touch upon the technicalities of movie-making, but they deal with an idea, thought, feeling or conflict the book or movie may have evoked in me.
The book is divided into 2 parts. In the first part I have compiled my collected blogs, and in the second half, you get to read reviews of books and movies that I have watched and read. This non-fiction book tries to mock at tradition, and is subversive in its attempt to educate. I hope to prod the discreet reader and provoke strong reactions and emotions for all the touchy issues that I have written about.

Shiva-Turiya

The Fourth State Apart From The Hindu Trinity

Whichever form you can conceive of an entity, Shiva has it. He is at once a dancer, a musician, a scholar, a pundit, a renunciate, a lover, a husband, a warrior, a king, whatever you can think of, he can become, or rather is!

There is no escaping the reality of Shiva. If you want to sample the nectar of reality, the essence of life, and gain experience in determining the goal of life, Shiva is all over his creation for you to learn from.

Come to him as a student; come to him as a mother; come to him as a beloved; come to him as an old, decrepit being, in any form, in any particle of energy or matter, you can see, feel, hear and think him.

History & Mythology

According to the Shiva Purana, Shiva is the Ultimate being, the super power, the only entity from whom both matter and energy are born. He gave rise to the Hindu trinity of Brahma, the Creator, Vishnu, the Preserver, and Rudra, the Destroyer. The act of destruction is the most difficult as it comes with a bad reputation, so Shiva always takes it upon himself to do all the tough tasks.

Shiva’s form: Shiva is a pure white being, symbolic of purity, chastity, wisdom, and knowledge. His throat is blue due to the poison that he gulped during Vishnu’s Tortoise avatar, which was reborn to assist the devas to procure the Somras.

Shiva is handsome, well proportioned, and drapes a tiger skin around his form. He also carries a sword, an axe, a dumroo, a trident, and is called the Lord of the renunciates. His consort is Parvati, and his sons are Ganesh and Kartikeya. They form a happy, nuclear family and reside, even now, on the snowy mountain of Kailash, 22028 feet above sea level.

Shiva is an absolute central, but subtle figure in Hindu philosophy and mythology. With the 9 avtars of Vishnu, he was always around to help him out. Of these, Hanuman, Rama’s devotee, is very well known. Other than that, Shiva is known as Dakshinamurthy, Adi Sankaracharya, the guru heritage, and the Hatha Yogis.

Additionally, the 12 jyotirlingas are all built for the various avtars of Shiva, all over India.

His popular son, Parvati’s dearest, is also a very powerful deity in Hinduism. Ganesh, or the lord of the ganas, has to be worshipped before every ritual, project, event, or even Laxmi Puja. Ganesh’s brother, Kartikeya, was given the South province of India, and is worshipped there.

Even his dearest vehicle, Nandi, is very popular for his devotion, and is constantly gazing at Shiva and Parvati out of devotion and reverence. Symbolic of his conquests over natural forces, are the various aspects that adorn his personality. For e.. the moon on his forehead shows that he has conquered his mind, the moon god representing the reigning deity of the mind. The river Ganga shows that he has power over wisdom, knowledge and is a divine being. The third eye, a kind of divine interpretation of the common intellect, shows that he can turn any distractor, or evil force to ashes!! The dumroo is symbolic of the dance of creation, in which Shiva took on the role of Supreme Being, from whom arose the Hindu Trinity. From the Sattwic aspect of Shiva, arose the Brahmins, or the scientists, from the Rajsic, the warriors, or Kshatriyas, and from his Tamas, grew the laborers and craftsmen.

He is known to scorn death, as he reminds himself all the time that the body is a physical, temporary entity, destined to end in ash. His three eyes represent the cooling, heating, and burning elements in nature; he is in control of all these.

The tiger skin represents the death of the ego. The snake around his neck represents the conquest of the most vicious and powerful being, so docile with Shiva. The trident and sword are brutal reminders to all those who sin or are evil, that not even one thought goes without his knowledge of every single being, atom, and nucleus of every object, coz he is the subject in all.

He is at once very hard with his enemies, and very easy to please for his devotees. It is proclaimed openly in the Shiva Purana, that although Rudra is tamas from the external, he is Sattwa from within.

People all over the world debate over why he is worshipped as the male phallus. This is just for the devotees to quickly take to dispassion after some sound knowledge of the facts of life. Other than that, it is a potent symbol of creation, and of the dual unison of Prakriti-Purusha, the representation of the real with Maya, or how the two, being opposite in nature, actually appear to live together.

He is such a pure being, that even his drug jamborees, his alcohol use, and his outright sexuality, are seen as divine Leelas. As such, he remains unaffected by all these.

All over the Puranas, Shiva is known to create beings from his hair, his nails, and every part of his body that he desires to use.

His ultimate creation, aside from his progeny, is, Durga, the Devi, whom all the male gods created with their powers to get rid of the Asura clan. Shiva is fond of the hills and mountains, and resides everywhere almost in the Himalayas.

Enemy Territory

It’s really a living hell to live surrounded by enemies who keep trying to bring you down and those who directly keep accosting you in several ways.

I have a neighboring family working in cohorts with a so-called popular and apparently religious family, my pathetic and most wearisome rivals, their boyfriends and several matrimonial rejects, all of whom are working overtime to bring my old family members to their cessation. They don’t hesitate to give me the hardest time in protecting my loved ones and their assets from my enemy’s infinite assaults and overwhelming attempts to usurp our properties and cause maximum harm.

The worst part of this exercise is that even the law doesn’t serve its useful purpose here, and we are being broken repeatedly because we are pious, literate, virtuous and in the minority. We also happen to be law-abiding, honest and sincere people. Why can’t you see eye to eye with that? Why can’t we live happily if we are believers in god?

I would also like to add here that certain people in leadership roles want to teach us a lesson in liberal modernism by assuming that we are narrow-minded and judgemental, but to us you appear to be over the top, evil and corrupt to the bone.

Why is it that we are crushed because we don’t want to participate in your collective criminal and corrupt activities? Why should you drive people to hurt us because we don’t find you worthy of our affection? And why are we being persecuted because we believe in god and are principled? Why do you keep asserting your superiority when you don’t even belong in our midst?

You can’t prove that only your ideology is right by crushing the lives out of your opponents. You want to prove that polyamory and open relationships are superior to monogamy, and I think that you may be fundamentally flawed because you don’t want to change. Just look at the status of women in your families.. We don’t even want to look at them. You easily give in to temptation and corruption, but we are god’s representatives of abstinence, sobriety and virtue.

I don’t think that there is a case here for someone trying their best to prove their authority in our lives. We don’t accept you as our family and you are not invited to rule over our lives.. Please keep all your repetitive affirmations, assertions and delusions of being professionally superior to your selves and let the law of god and goodness prevail..You are not entitled to exploit, torture, hurt and subjugate us just because you have a professional qualification. In office too, you always engage in subtle misogyny. You never praise us, and we are left with numerous doubts and shortcomings. I have worked so hard, with 5 degrees, and yet I have not gained a single promotion. You absolutely can’t get away with a coup in our household no matter how evil you get. You may be toppers, but you are also abandoned, orphaned, immoral, evil, corrupt and outliers.

The vengeance and politics of Chet Gul and her Sindhi psycho gang

I have been through the most grueling times because of the deadly and most lethal supporters of the transwoman Chet Gul and her exclusive followers, namely, the Morenos, Vicks G, Murphy Poppins, Purt Vet and mostly all groups of really poor, failed and displaced Indians.

We should really stop looking up to them, and their bosses should terminate their services as soon as they get hold of this blog.

She (Chet) supports all those who have been rejected in society and works really hard for their rights, to the extent of making the richer people and adversaries go through suicidal hell. She makes you feel guilty of all your accomplishments. Under their evil grasp, my mother has literally donated away all her new clothes, her life’s savings, accessories and personal belongings. Chet and her evil CEO partners have tortured us endlessly over our promotions and work related issues, always proving how inferior we are to them, and always highlighting our errors and mistakes, and forgiving and promoting even the most glaring blunders of the rest of the poor and middle class lot. These are the leaders, supporters and perpetrators of organized crime in offices and public places. They will mutilate you for looking ugly, manly, coming second or surpassing their expectations, preaching all the while that good looks don’t matter.

This group thinks they are morally superior and religiously most righteous in extracting justice from whomsoever they think is their rival.

They punish you for rejecting their group dynamics, have an insatiable sexual drive and are the champions of the most displaced, all this under the guise of religious and moral domination. They are self-proclaimed leaders. They will not rest until you express the same traits and faults as them. They assume full control and leadership over your lives, over the dispensation of justice and money, and over the assignment of your work, career progression, etc down to the last detail. They make sure that their insecurities and weaknesses are directly transmitted to you, and that you lose your mind, wealth and grandeur because they have been shorn of theirs. They relentlessly pursue equality gloating over all your monetary, bodily and material losses. They ensure that all your riches are transferred to their pockets. They aim at promoting chaos and anarchy under the authority and workings of a democratic government.

I remember when Chet came home, she pushed my mother aside in the kitchen, took over full control of the stove and continued to make the most milky and ‘malaidar’ tea as my mum gaped in utter horror.

This group is creating vendetta politics for all those who reject their matrimonial and romantic advances.

They always represent the fallen, the extremely jealous and downtrodden, to the extent that they turn the whole system against those who are peace-loving, normal, liberal, moderate, modern, literate, straight, accomplished and possessing natural career progression skills, just to make place for the dispossessed. The better ones are made to fend for themselves, are criticized deeply, and are left to fight their own demons, their bosses and face umpteen challenges. They will do anything to see you fail. They will refuse to accept your work and accomplishments. They will keep punishing you for your personal renunciation beliefs, always reinforcing that morality and success can’t go hand in hand. However flawed their approach, they will repeatedly corroborate their importance because they were once toppers and gold medalists. They will justify the total annihilation of your mediocre aspirations, making you feel inferior and small, depriving you of all your material and human rights. They will make you slog like asses, withdraw all your promotions, and provide you with the bare minimum in remuneration.

They are so violent, vindictive, rough, roguish and utterly criminal in their outlook, crushing you under their authoritative might. Chet Gul has done everything to prove that Hinduism is flawed, and that we should all realize that they are Paki supporters of minorities, fighting against the endless injustices and hatred meted out to them for centuries.

TRANS.WORKS, CIS.CO, etc are some companies where they have been adjusted somehow.

There is nothing pious, wise or ethical in their devices as they continue to wage war against the collective goodness, piety and rigors of godly and god fearing beings, making false claims that their simple and honest natures are deeply rooted in weakness and mediocrity. They believe in encouraging totally satanic, evil, subversive and remorseless behaviours, thrusting their own life’s lessons and failings down your throat. They blatantly promote the excesses of consumerism, follow a lavishly luxurious lifestyle, all the time thriving on the innocence and naivete of their gullible customers. This is then the mainstay of capitalism: to wrest away the rights and possessions of the credulous.

What It Means When

You Grow Up!!

I was going over the Chinmaya Mission website, and I came across a clue that referred to the self realization of a person, especially this Diwali, by Sw Tejomayanandaji. I’m not sure what the full connotation of absolute realization is, but I can say this for myself,

I do feel fully baked to a large extent, even literally in this sweltering heat.

Also, I was reminded by Miss Rangarajan’s post (Getting older, but duller) to pay my gratitude to the one behind all of this, namely, my own personal god, my Hindu trinity, my Self. I would also like to thank all those who made this possible, the ones with me, and those against, brilliant !!

Many triumphs, losses, acceptances, break ups, rejections, dilemmas, physical distresses, mental hassles and conflicts later, I can say that I’m in a cool space today. I have no regrets or no bad blood. Whatever I conceived of materialized, in fact, I prompted my own destiny by my thoughts, it’s true!

I also feel that I have a personal relationship with the highest force in nature, and that he challenges us to bring out the best in us.

When I was in the prime of my youth, I was supremely concerned about my physicality. But things improved steadily. I became interested in deep study, studied almost everything under the sky that caught my desire, and yes, took around 12 years to master my writing skills. It’s called evolution of the spirit.

Other than that, I dabbled in various aspects of worldly engagements, and at this point, I feel contented. I may not have made it so well materialistically, but that’s because I was honest, principled, and did not ever compromise with my ideologies.

I did tweak and test the efficacies of ancient traditions and adapted them to my need, not the other way round. I am also proud of the way I grew up to understand the manipulations and politics of people, of society, of families, of friends, boy friends, uhh, where’s that??

I hope, despite all the things that went wrong, I am in a global cum local state, where you live in the present, plan for the future, but adapt as things turn out!!

What A Bull Run!!

Every time you visit the BSE, you look at the bull, and you come back feeling that you need to pry your horns up at your threats and enemies in the same way. If you have genuine parents, teachers, and also a guru, he will train you in the warfare of the world, of success, of relationships, of failure, of politics, of gender discrimination, and how to keep afloat amidst certain calamity.

The real world thrives on challenges.

If you look at various animals’ survival skills, some withdraw into shells, others sting, still others fight, bite, cut, nick, and do anything possible to protect their turf. When you are competing in a free market, where numbers decide fates, where it’s more difficult to put food on the table than anything, to protect your interest is of paramount importance.

As you climb the ladder of perpetual growth, it gets tougher. No wonder it’s said that it’s lonely at the top, so much so that most people up there are left with nothing except the success that they have pursued so doggedly.

Do you really want to be there? Are you ready to give it all you have? Like a mean chess player, or a meaner karate kid, are you ready to make the first dent? If yes, be prepared for an outburst, for a return favor, for revenge, and an endless struggle to get what your heart wants.

Enough of being nice, mice, in this day and age, if ever you’ve kept up, it’s ambition, intelligence, strategy, and pure skill and hordes of knowledge that will keep you going.

Despite the number of enemies you create in the process, you know you have won when you are the most hated person on the earth, coz no one can emulate you, do what you have done, or achieve what you could do, and that too in the limited time span with all possible obstacles and roadblocks, handicaps, and appendages!!!

For the masses, you might be a leader of sorts, they might even hate you outside and worship you inside or vice versa, but please, please, please learn quickly that we humans are subject to double deception; once, because we fool each other in terms of relationships, social contexts, economic aspirations, etc, and the next is, because this world is anyway fabricated, a deception, a perception, and to burrow through the clutter and keep to reality is the smart move to make. Are you there in your head, or not???
