About this ebook

Keaton couldn't get off the carrier fast enough. The flight into Virginia took way too long. Selena was taking her sweet time getting to him. He'd been away from her before, but never this long. At this point he was ready to blast the sand into glass and end the entire war. What he wanted was his wife and the escape she provided. The softness to his hard side, the welcome to his hungers. He wasn't going to make it home before she yielded to him. He couldn't wait for her sweetness, for her submission, for her taste. This was going to be a homecoming to remember.

    Waiting

I pulled my phone from the thigh pocket of my flight suit. I wanted to hit speed dial so badly my fingers tremored. I kept my cool, though. How long will it take you to get here? I hit send and blew out a breath I didn't realize I was holding. If I dictated it, the phone might not understand the terse stutter I’m sure would hinder my speech. My thoughts careened around my skull until I wanted to roar. I looked up from the reflection of my hostile glare at the phone screen. Damn it, she knew I hated to wait.

The sky was clear, as clear as when I landed and turned the Hornet over to the crew less than an hour ago. The storm clouds I’d passed through earlier were a no show.

We’ll get her ready to return to the air in a couple days.

Behind me, the chief referenced the F-18 I’d hopped out of moments ago. Although I loved to fly, I hoped I’d get all days of leave I’d put in for. I threw a glance at him over my shoulder, added a nod, and kept my pace. I’d been deployed for six months, twenty-three days and – I glanced at my chronometer. She’d given me the precision timepiece on my 30th birthday. I’d tied her to the bed and fucked her forever...four hours and counting. The phone buzzed in my hand.

    I’m walking out the door.

What are you wearing? I couldn’t resist asking. I’d texted her as soon as we’d heard the official ETA stateside. She’d answered me with a smiling emoji and a heart. She knew my expectations.

    Nothing much.

The throw-away phrase hardened my dick. Would she wear the cream teddy I loved on her curves? Or the red number I’d mailed home from Italy? I reflected that Europeans have the right idea. Make the clothes fit the woman’s body. They appreciate the rounded curvature more than a lot of American designers do.

Thoughts of sinking into her wet heat brought me back to myself. I jerked the door of the Quonset hut open, stalked to the dressing area, and dropped my bag to the bench. The half round building sat next to the hanger. It had lockers, shower facilities, and no personality. Hell, I wasn’t living here. I had a home I was eager to see.

I’d taken a transfer to NAS Oceana in Virginia a year ago. Before my first full deployment I flew to NAS Fallon for air to ground and air to air weapons training. Nevada was beautiful, what I remembered seeing of it. The training kept our wing quite busy. I made it through training and was
