    Venus Wedding - Golden Angel

    PROLOGUE

    Mr. and Mrs. John Swift

request the honor of your presence at the marriage of their daughter

    Jessica Jean Swift

    To

Mr. Justin James Merchant and Mr. Christopher Bilius O’Neal

    Saturday, the twenty-fourth of April

At five o’clock in the afternoon

    Steve O’Neal

Unacceptable, the senator growled the word, slamming his hand down on the kitchen table in front of him. Steve managed not to flinch at the sharp sound. Flinching would draw his father’s attention. "This is completely unacceptable. How dare he continue to perpetuate this farce? This... this... perverse mockery of the sanctity of marriage?!"

Dear, calm down, your heart, Steve’s mom murmured, moving to the senator’s side and stroking his arm.

Did you see this? Picking up the thick piece of stationery, the senator shook it at her. Did you see what our son is doing? Do you have any idea what the reporters will say when they catch wind of this?

They haven’t so far, Mom reminded him, her soft voice soothing. She plucked the paper from his hand and set it back down on the table, pushing it toward Steve. Curious, he pulled it toward himself, which got it out of his father’s reach and would also let him know what was going on. No one is focused on what Chris is doing.

How am I supposed to run on a platform of family values when my own son is so immoral? Rather than being soothed, the senator’s rage was picking up steam, his face turning a bright red.

Quietly—bitterly—Steve wondered how his father was running on a platform of family values when he’d cheated on his wife with at least three women over the past five years. Still, he didn’t say so out loud. It would ruin his mother’s ability to pretend it wasn’t happening. When he’d first found out and tried to tell her, she’d slapped him across the face for speaking ill of his father, then burst into tears. Whatever her reasons for staying with the senator, she wasn’t willing to leave him. Steve lived in hope, though.

Even though he hated the senator, he still found himself wishing that wasn’t the case, wishing his dad was like other dads. That his dad’s love and approval didn’t come with conditions and clauses. Other people managed to live with and still love their bigoted family members, their asshole family members... but Steve knew if his father knew what he really was, his father would hate him.

Which was why he selfishly wished his mom would leave the man. He wanted to be himself, but he didn’t want to lose both of his parents.

Especially when he was already estranged from his brother.

He really wished he hadn’t stood by silently when their father had made the ultimatum that Chris either needed to end his unconventional relationship or be kicked out of the family. He wished he had reached out after and let his brother know he still loved him.

But it had happened right around the time he’d found out the senator was fucking his campaign manager, and he’d been afraid of being cut off from their mom if he’d stood by his brother. Chris had a boyfriend and a girlfriend, apparently, but their mom had been all alone. So, Steve had made his choice, and now, it was too late for reconciliation.

Or so he’d thought… until now.

Ignoring the senator’s ranting and his mother’s attempts to calm the man down, Steve reached for the envelope the invitation had come in and flipped it over. His breath caught in his throat when he saw his name written as well, between his parents’ and their address.

    I’m invited too.

Steven. The senator snapped out his name, and he jerked his head up to look at his father, the older man’s face florid with anger. He shook off his wife’s hands, practically pushing her away. Steve’s lips tightened because there was no point in provoking his father more by saying something. We can send Steven.

Send me? Steve blinked in confusion since he hadn’t been listening to his parents’ conversation.

I can’t attend this…—the senator gestured imperiously—"ridiculous affair. The press would be all over it. I can’t have them finding out what your brother is attempting to do. You’ll have to go and stop this farce. It would be one thing if your brother wanted to be gay married, I could maybe work with that. The liberals would eat it up. And you can still settle down with a nice girl. But this…" He huffed.

Looking down at the invitation, Steve felt a surge of sadness. He missed his brother. He could use his brother’s support. Especially since his father was apparently only willing to tolerate one gay son. Would it really have killed Chris to conform just a little? Choose one person to marry? It wasn’t like he could even be legally married to both of them. How did a relationship like that even work?

Deep down, Steve had thought it would end, and Chris would come back to them. He’d thought he’d have his brother there to support him in coming out to their father. Instead, Chris was selfishly going forward with something that couldn’t possibly end well for anyone.

Yes, Steve said slowly. Yes, I’ll go and stop this.

    CHAPTER 1

    Jessica

What is this place?! Jessica put a hand up to straighten the dick crown on her head. The small bobbing penises adorning the pink glittering crown had made it a little unsteady, even when she’d been sober. She wasn’t exactly drunk yet, but she was definitely tipsy after the pre-gaming while they’d been getting ready to go out. Her friends had kept her cup full, so she had no idea how much she’d actually had so far.

Welcome to your personal karaoke room! Hilary said, throwing her hands wide and dancing past her. Happy Bachelorette Party!

The private dining room had multiple TV screens on the walls, two long benches down either side of the room with tables in front of them, and an aisle between the two rows of tables, and one large circular table right by the door. Jessica had been excited when they’d pulled up to what looked like a regular Chinese food restaurant—who didn’t love Chinese food?—but she hadn’t expected this. She’d thought they were kicking things off with dinner. Trust Hilary to find something uniquely entertaining for her after she’d said she didn’t want to go to a strip club.

This is awesome! Sharon said, bounding into the room behind Jessica. We can sing whatever we want, and we don’t have to share with anyone? Hell, yes!

Exactly, said Hilary, ushering Jessica forward. She’d kind of come to a halt to take in the room, which was holding up the party.

The rest of her friends piled in behind her, wearing their bachelorette night best—which meant lots of clubbing dresses. She had her vanilla friends, who had stuck by her even when she’d started a polyamorous relationship, and her new friends, who were all kinky themselves and didn’t care that she was the female center in a threesome.

Looking at all of them right now, no one would ever be able to tell that Brooke and Carrie were totally vanilla, while the rest of the group regularly attended a BDSM club on the weekends. Well, Angel came less now that she had a baby girl at home, but she and her husband, Adam, still managed to make it there at least once a month. Everyone else was there just about every weekend, for at least one night. The point was, vanilla or kinky, they were all just ladies out for a bachelorette party.

Where are the songbooks? Angel asked eagerly, looking around the room. I need to know my options.

Screw that, where’s the drink menu? Brooke said, laughing.

I want the regular menu, Kate chimed in, flipping her long blonde hair around as she swung her gaze back and forth, looking around the room. Feed me, Seymour.

Food and drink menus over there, Hilary pointed. Song menu is on the wall there, where you sign up.

What?! It’s like a TV screen! Angel bounced over and immediately started pressing the screen options, Leigh and Sharon hot on her heels. The three of them immediately started arguing over who was going first while Jessica shook her head, grinning and followed Kate and Brooke to the menus.

This was going to be awesome.

It turned out the private room karaoke ended up being more of a massive sing-along to—although there were a couple of microphones that usually ended up in the hands of the most enthusiastic. Everyone was singing along to pretty much every song, no matter who was taking center stage. Even though she wasn’t drinking since she was still breastfeeding, Angel ended up with a microphone in her hand half the time, mostly switching off with Sharon—unless they were doing a duet.

Jessica nearly choked on a dumpling, laughing her ass off as Angel and Sharon sang ‘You’re The One That I Want’ from Grease. They were on opposite sides of the long aisle between the tables and doing some kind of weird, interpretive dance, hip-thrusting toward each other as they sang their respective lines. Sharon, who was about five inches shorter than Angel, had chosen to sing Danny, which only added to the hilarity. When they finally met in the middle of the room, Sharon climbed up on a chair so she could properly loom over Angel.

Bad subbie, get down! Olivia barked out through her own laughter. The only Domme in the group, she was also the mother hen—and definitely right, because when Sharon tried to step down from the chair, she ended up crashing and falling onto Angel, who wrapped her arms around Sharon and screeched as they fell.

    Crap!

    Are they okay?

Everyone was up on their feet leaning over from the seats on the wall to see between the tables, the blaring music forgotten.

As soon as Jessica saw Angel and Sharon rolling around on the floor, Angel spanking Sharon’s ass, she knew they were okay.

Stay away from my ass! Sharon squealed, trying to pull her skirt back down over her curves.

If I had a nickel... Olivia murmured, shaking her head and stepping in to pull the two giggling women apart.

W-t-fuck? asked Carrie, watching with wide eyes as Olivia swatted both Angel and Sharon on the ass and sent them to opposite sides of the room, still giggling. I don’t know if I’m scared or a little turned on.

Turning to her, Kate cocked her head to the side. Did you just say w-t-fuck?

Jessica put her head down on the table and laughed so hard, she could barely breathe.

The door to the room swung open right in the middle of the ‘Let It Go’ group sing-along, and Jessica almost peed her pants when she saw the blond cop standing there. Holy crap, what had they done?

It took her a second—she was definitely drunk now—to realize that the blond cop was not only grinning, he was familiar. A cheer went up around the room, hands flying into the air in welcome.

    Is that Master Mitch?

Jessica couldn’t tell who had asked, but they were right. It was Master Mitch, a.k.a. one of the new Doms at Stronghold, but he wasn’t the cop Dom, that was Kincaid. Of course, she’d never seen Kincaid dressed in a uniform with shorts that short—which was too bad because he’d look good in them, but...

Hello, ladies, Master Mitch said, putting his fingertip to the glasses he was wearing, sliding them down the bridge of his nose and giving them a stern look over the dark lenses. I’ve been told there are some naughty girls in this room... Never fear, Officer Not-Your-Husband is here... to take care of you.

Olivia groaned, putting her hand over her face, and Mitch flashed a grin at her, thrusting his hips in her direction.

Justin and Chris said no strippers, Jessica hissed at Hilary, who was waving at Mitch and pointing to Jessica.

It’s just Mitch, he doesn’t count. We’ve already seen him naked, Hilary pointed out, leaning over to the handheld screen so she could move the song choice along.

As ‘Party Rock’ started blasting out of the speakers, Mitch made his way to the center of the room and put his fists in the air, swiveling his hips in a way that made Carrie blush bright red. It didn’t hurt that she was seated directly in front of him, and the shorts were very tight across his groin.

Tall, blond, with broad shoulders, thick thighs, and a muscled chest that led down to a six-pack, he was definitely hot. He was also a shockingly good dancer. Jessica was pretty sure she couldn’t twerk like that.

How on earth did you convince him to do this? She had to shout the words at Hilary, the music and cheering were so loud. Olivia was the only one not cheering, just shaking her head... but she was still watching. Mitch blew her a kiss.

I didn’t have to, he volunteered, Hilary shouted back, clapping her hands gleefully as Mitch peeled off the tight top of his uniform.

Shockingly, it was Ellie, who was usually one of the quietest and most demure of Jessica’s friends, who first reached out to run her hands down Mitch’s front, then tuck a dollar bill into the waistband of his shorts.

What? she yelled at Maria, whose mouth had dropped open. "I’m taken, not dead."

What happens at the bachelorette party stays at the bachelorette party! Lexie called out, leaning over the tables to run her hand down Mitch’s back and tuck another dollar bill into the part of
