I love books. It has been a dream of mine since I was a child to author a book. A couple of years I gave it a try. It's hard work and I'm still learning but despite that...I love it! I love creating new worlds and falling in love with the characters that I create. I love hearing from fans or watching the downloads of my books increase. I love it because I know that in some way, I'm reaching someone that I wouldn't have before. Being an author is a great gift and I'm grateful to have the opportunity to share my stories with the world.

In the middle of a packed stadium was where she shined the brightest. Mari Celestina was her stage name. She had a real name but because it was a name given to her by her bastard parents and because the rest of the world didn’t call her by that name, she never used it.

The screams of thousands could be heard from miles away as she stood in the middle of the spotlight smiling into the innumerable crowd with the haughtiness of a person who knows they are adored. But Mari was more than adored, she was worshipped. She was worshipped by little girls who looked at her like a fairytale princess. She was worshipped by teen and preteen girls who saw her as the greatest role-model they could ever have. She was worshipped by teenage boys because of her pretty Latina face, sensual body and tight moves. She was worshipped by adult and young adult women for living a life that they so desperately wanted to emulate. She was worshipped by adult and young adult men for much of the same reason that the teenage boys worshipped her—they wanted to taste her.

Mari loved the adulation. She loved the worship. She got off on it all because it was her greatest drug.

It was her second world tour, her first since she became an adult over 3 years ago. At the time of her first world tour, her bastard of a father was still acting as her manager. To say that she hated him wouldn’t give her feelings enough justice. She despised him in the depths of her very soul. He was a mean man. He was petty and vindictive. He was abusive. Since little Mari could walk and talk, he’d groomed her to perform. It didn’t matter what the performance was—dance, singing, playing instruments—he made her do it all. And if she ever came home with anything less than first place…let’s just say that even after multiple attempts to remove them via some of the best dermatological surgeons in the world, her back still shows faint scars from all of the times he’s burned her with his cheap cigars and stale cigarettes. She hated him to her core and her feelings for her mother were never any better. That woman pretended not to notice how much of a piece of shit her husband was and regardless of how loudly Mari screamed her mother’s name, she never rescued her.

You might be thinking that it is a common story. When a husband is abusive, some women protect their fragile spirits by blocking out any abuse that was not directed towards her. This wasn’t what Mari’s mother did. In the moments when Mari was being punished for not winning a competition, her mother would be busy drinking and snorting away the spoils from the competitions that Mari did win. She didn’t care if Mari was punished because in her mind, Mari winning was the only thing that would help them to afford her own expensive habits. If Mari wasn’t punished then how would she know how important winning was to her mother and father? That was
