Preface

How did God provide in the making of this book?

In November 2013 when I was eighteen years old, I strongly felt God telling me during a time of worship to put together a compilation of testimonies from different house churches, and to write a book about His love for His people… so I started to write even though I didn’t know how. God helped me all the way.

This book is about His faithfulness, His power and His amazing love. The purpose of this book is to share what God has done in the lives of people here in Baguio City and how He healed, cared for, provided for and loved His people. This book consists of testimonies of miracles and signs and wonders of Papa God. There are stories of house churches growing rapidly; ordinary people reaching out to others and impacting cities; youth leaders training other young people for leadership; kids having visions and sharing Christ with their families and friends, and of precious people who encountered Papa’s love, healing and provision (such as money appearing from nowhere).

This book is a story of God’s love and a witness to His saving grace. It also shares the gospel of Christ Jesus who died and rose again to reach out to us. It’s all about letting God use us for His purposes and to show His love to others.

It’s not really possible to describe what God’s love looks like. You need to experience it. So I pray that as you read this book, Papa God would show you His love in a tangible way.

I pray that God would bring you closer to Him. May this book encourage you to seek God more, and to be used by Him for His glory and for the advancement of His kingdom.

Our Testimonies

A testimony is simply sharing what we’ve experienced—what we’ve seen, heard and felt. It is recalling what God has done for us.

Listening to other people’s testimonies helps us build our faith. If someone is testifying about the goodness of God in their life, let us declare that God would do the same for us.

Our testimonies move God into action. They are a form of praise to God, and God inhabits the praises of His people.

The testimonies you are about to read are from our different house churches here in Baguio City, the Philippines. The things you read about can also be done in you and through you—that is why we are sharing them. God can heal you, provide for you, and do for you all the things He has done in other people’s lives. As you read them, reflect on them and believe that God will do the same for you.

Glossary

Ate — Sister; also, an affectionate term for an older girl.

Barangay — A village.

El Nino — An abnormal weather pattern caused by the warming of the Pacific Ocean.

Kuya — Brother; also, an affectionate term for an older boy.

Lola — Grandmother.

Lolo — Grandfather.

Maipalayo — No exact translation but it means that we can’t have a distant relationship with God.

Mapili — Choosy; selective.

Nanay — Mother; also, an affectionate term for an older lady.

Tatay — Father; also, an affectionate term for an older man.
