WHEN SHALL THIS LAND KNOW PEACE
()
About this ebook
The book is a collections of poetry written to unveil my country Nigeria and some other social issues which are trending around the globe. It cuts across some themes which are intriguing and captivating for readers to read on.
This collections of poetry is not written in vacuum in the sense that, it picturesques the effectiveness and efficiency of literature in in larger society. Which is the spinal cord of Literature and society.
I affirmatively believe that literature cannot be separated from our society, and it can never go into extinction unless people in the society and the society itself no longer exist.
In a nutshell, this collections of poetry unveil the abysmal condition of the masses and the society they find themselves, which is a measure of unveiling the problems of the society to the masses, which will serve as an eye opening measure for them.

WHEN SHALL THIS LAND KNOW PEACE - Oluwole Oluwatobi Solomon
WHEN SHALL THIS LAND KNOW PEACE?
See how the masses are running helter skelter
Like a dog pursuing a rabbit
Everywhere is in shambles
Masses are malnourished
Leaders are having potbellies
Wrinkles of trauma on the countenance of the masses
When shall this land know peace?
––––––––
See the agonies of the masses
They move here and there
Like a staggering chameleon
Due to the economic situations
They are awarded via the leaders
Expression of plights, sadness
Fill their facial outlooks
When shall this land know peace?
––––––––
See the heavy loads in the masses' hearts
Like a tower of Babel
Insecurity is perceived in every zone
Genoterrorism flaunts the North
Kidnapbanditry in the South
Lawlessness in the East
Herders inflictions in the West
When shall this land know peace?
––––––––
The eyes in heaven
Where are you?
Why are we facing these challenges?
Who have we offended in this country?
Our forefathers, where are your ears?
Intervene on our behalf
Shall we continue like this?
Hearts are grieved and in dangers daily
When shall this land know peace?

I HAVE A DREAM FOR NIGERIA
I have a dream for my country Nigeria
I see a glorious days ahead of you
Nigeria, that you shall be great once more
I can see a new Jerusalem in you
Where the Whites bow to you
And confess their abnormalities
––––––––
I have a dream for my country Nigeria
I see where poor and rich din together
Where there is no discrepancy
Among the Hausas
Among the Ibos
Among the Yorubas
And everyone dwell in harmony
––––––––
I have a dream for my country Nigeria
I see the out gone politicians biting their fingers
Echoing in their
