About this ebook
Furniture shopping can't be all that hard.
Or can it?
A hilarious short story featuring Piper and Sam of the Ooey Gooey Bakery Mystery series. Furniture shopping should be a breeze according to her best friend Sam but after a long day of bargain hunting and haunted happenings, Piper disagrees. A mid-day milkshake pick-me-up is all she is looking forward to - who needs furniture anyway?

WAIT!
Sam stomped on the brake and her little car came to a screeching halt. What? What is it?
The list.
A car horn blared as the driver behind us lost patience.
Excuse me?
Sam pressed the accelerator and inched forward again.
The list,
I told her. I felt around in each pocket of my shorts. We forgot the list.
Piper, you seriously think we can’t pick out new furniture for your apartment without a list?
Sam rolled her eyes. I nearly had a wreck thinking something was actually wrong.
I crossed my arms. We need the list if we plan to get this all done in one trip.

Sam continued, Besides, what’s more fun that furniture shopping all weekend?
Lots of things,
I countered.
Name one.
The dentist.
Puh-lease.
Sam drawled, a huge smile lighting her face. Shopping, any kind of shopping, put Sam in a fantastic mood.
Do you have paper so I can at least start a new list?
I knew I shouldn’t have worn these shorts instead of my regular cargo pants today. Usually, I would have my tiny notebook in one of the numerous pockets but you just couldn’t fit some things in a pair of cut off blue jeans.
I have something better.
Thank goodness.
A whole day free to drive you to the most fantastic furniture places in town and a designer-style sense to help you pick out everything.
I’d rather have a piece of paper to make a list, run in one store, buy everything, and get back to the bakery.
Sam turned on the radio. She didn’t care one bit about my list.
Sticking my tongue out at the side of
