      Cross dug his heels in, the snow packed ground crunching under his winter boots. He reached into the inner pocket of his coat and pulled out a pair of earbuds. Secondly and most pivotal, it was to smooth out the process of Evergreen. Dr. Parsons stated that it was affected by a person's state of mind. For what Cross had planned, he needed any boost he could get. The song would further center him on the task at hand, the track's title representative of the collective will of everyone present. He, Max, the Kakisa townspeople, and even the very earth beneath him wanted to break the hold Monica had over them.
