Hey! So glad you could join me. Heartbreak happened suddenly. Like a bus slamming into a wall. The choice I had was to rise or fall. My life devastated with shattered dreams now lay in threadbare disappointment. Consumed by an inability to express myself. Each day forward seemed like a minute progression from the sorrowful past. Hope, in contrast is such a beautiful word. Christ has become my Kinsman Redeemer. He has replaced within me assurance, courage and anticipation. Beyond all my hopes and expectations. He has rewritten my story. He can rewrite yours too.

Who is this book for?

The intention of this book is to support you as you walk through some of the tough moments of heartbreak. Your circumstances might seem unexpected to you. The breakdown of your marriage. Leaving you helpless and exposed. But, God knew. Part of the recovery journey is healing. Which requires time. As you read. Write. My goal was to simply be the pen in the hand of an awesome God. Is your situation incomprehensible right now? Do you believe this ache will never end? Your understanding will be enlightened. God is able to allow your perspective to be exchanged for newness.

Writing things down makes it real. The willingness to be vulnerable and face your emotions. To find solutions in an effective and meaningful way. Make a note of all the words that flood your thoughts. Consider areas you would like to change. Highlight ideas you would like to explore. Set goals. Allow yourself space to accomplish these. You can find rest, new vision and experience the healing love of Christ. Initially, to love and forgive yourself. Then build a momentum to focus on seeking the future God has planned for you. Set yourself up for a comeback, the best is yet to come!

During your quiet times of prayer, journal everything you may be unable to say to your former spouse. Keep recording all that God will reveal. You might be fragile at this point, but God can heal a broken heart. You simply have to hand Him all the pieces.

As you embark on this journey, to make it possible for God to work in your heart, He requests you submit everything to Him. You are strong enough to relinquish your circumstances to Him. Align your thinking with God’s word. Answers will be revealed as you search for His wisdom. In your walking and working. Your heart aching and mind racing. Time is the catalogue that will adjust your attitude and expectations. To match what God has planned for your life. You will be released to step into your amazing future!

Lord, when my eye confronts my heart,

And I realise that You have filled my heart with Your love,

Once my heart was so small in its vision,

So narrow in its compassion,

So weak in its zeal for truth.

Then You chose to enter my heart, and now in my heart I can see You,

I can love all Your people,
