About this ebook

The secret code to the meaning of life is finally revealed.

The question "what is the meaning of mankind's existence?", has been an enigma for generations. This unique book offers an answer to this ageless question and explains the reason why it was kept as a secret for so long.

Ninveh is the code name for the newly born interpretation of the meaning of our individual and collective existence. This book offers a new point of view, in light of which life could be:

• An experience of inner strength

• An abundant - of and in - relationships, brotherhood, commitment, and compassion

• An existence blessed with serenity

Ninveh is based on the notions that our existence is not a random occurrence and that it has a comprehensive organizing principle. It also offers new perspectives on life; both theoretical and practical, enabling all of us to make a better life for ourselves and our world.

    NINVEH

    INTRODUCTION

From the beginning of time, an inexplicable urge, at times sharp and clear and at times indistinct and vague, compels human beings to pursue the meaning of human existence on Earth. When unfulfilled, this drive is converted to the pursuit of more—of everything: more love, more money and pleasure, more physical and mental health, more knowledge. Yet even when more and more of all these are achieved, the Big Question still resonates: Why? What is the meaning of man’s life here? What is mankind’s purpose?

These questions arise in full force whenever one experiences difficulty, pain and suffering, and towards the end of one’s life, or that of one’s loved ones.

The classical sacred writings of the various religions, give no information that can help to decipher the meaning of life. For example, in the story of creation in the Bible: In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Nowhere in the bible, does it explicitly say WHY . . . however, much is written in the annals of leadership, philosophy, thought and knowledge, about the question of HOW we should conduct ourselves in this world, in a manner most, becoming, befitting and worthy.

The cardinal guidelines for life’s journey, have always been a commendation to live a life of love, giving and acceptance, flowing with whatever comes to pass, guiding our thoughts and feelings to conversion of the negative to the positive. We are taught to care for body and soul, and to be persistently watchful to reveal the illusion of separate existence in order to heal obstructions and connect with a loving and guiding inner self, which is higher than the everyday self. However, in general, there is no mention of why we are living here in this world, and why we must experience pain and suffering along with all the good and the pleasurable.

In light of the assumption that the existence of mankind is not a random occurrence, and that indeed there is an organizing binding comprehensive principle, and in light of the assumption that the meaning of human existence was kept a secret until our time, but is now in the process of revelation, the book Ninveh: The Light of Love and the Meaning of Life was written.

    They are many, my teachers,

To whom I bow in deep thanksgiving—

For the wondrous performances of being that hint at the meaning of life:

Nature in its sweet never-ending glory—on Kibbutz Hulda of long ago,

The children farm, the donkey, goats giving birth and foamy milked, Spring onions singing one green row after another,

Every thorn and blossom, the guava the fig,

And the plum tree, amazing sweetness bursting in the mouth; Working, as a little girl, in the cotton, bananas,

    The olive harvest, picking pears and picking oranges;

    Kids of my collective home and all the other local children, so rich in essence;

The swimming pool, the football and basketball fields,

    The hiding places in the shrubbery and the houses;

My family and the community, in their bounty of appearances

In days of light and affinity and in nights of my loneliness and mourning.

Each and all of them taught me that more is hidden than revealed—Watching them,

Open eyed, seeing their energy—light, auras, colors,

    With internal eye,

Hearing their silent murmured words, and their thoughts

    With secret ears.

    Thank you,

Thanks to my teachers, in body and spirit,

To pupils-teachers of all times and all places—

For enabling, for lessons, for the revealed and for

The veiled asking to be discovered.

Those strings on which my childhood sounds strummed the light of puzzles and clues,

Strum over and over again, in my life and in this book—

The mystery of life, the tangle branched questions,

And the song birds skipping points of view, like innumerable answers Of the light of love, while all is

    Beyond

    Space

    and beyond

    time,

    exists

    Light of Eternity—

    Light of

    Oneness in all,

    Light

of The One present in all—

    Light of

    Ahoveh¹

1 Ahoveh—is a composite Hebrew word initiated by the author of Ninveh. It consists of the word Ahavah (Love) and Hoveh (Present / IS). Based on the Latin verb to Be: esse (hoveh, present / is) Ahoveh can be translated as essential, or quintessential love. The word Ahoveh also connotes, through oblique reference, the name Jehova.

    1:2

    Transcending place, transcending time,

    the Light of Ahoveh

the Light of the One, is present in all,

    creating

    infinite universes:

    In swirling harmony—a vortex of

    myriad hues of light—

energy generating energy, generating energy, generating . . . an eternal dance

    emanating,

    forever,

    more and yet still more,

    beyond time and beyond place,

    created

    and creating,

    creating

    and created—

in the Light of the One Present in all,

    in the Light of Ahoveh

    1:3

    And thus, all creation

and all that is being created, emanates

    from the Light

of the One Present in all, the Light of Ahoveh,

    and bears the Light,

from The One and within it.

    Light of the One,

    the Light of Ahoveh,

    is
