"When you know that tree experience pain and have memories and that tree parents live together with their children, then you can no longer just chop them down and disrupt their lives with larger machines." – Peter Wohlleben
Believe it or not, trees and humans are not that different. They live together with their children, they communicate and support each other. It's crazy to even think about it because we have grown with the idea that trees don't amount to much but they actually do. That's why The Hidden Life of Trees is such a great read, it reveals a mysterious world filled with interesting secrets and facts about this tall plant.
Build empathy for other living things and learn more about the world that surrounds you.
P.S. The Hidden Life of Trees is an extraordinary book that shows us that trees are capable of much more than we think.
P.P.S. It was Albert Einstein who famously said that once you stop learning, you start dying. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Loved it sooooo much, it is very well written. Thank you
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5The book is written for normal people, who are interested in trees and nature and not afraid of learning facts that upset their worldview, and who are willing to accept that there are things we cannot, yet or fully, explain.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5When our book club chose this book, I felt that trees and their live may be a stretch. I found this summary and loved it since it filled in the gaps when I would want to stop reading a chapter in the library book. It helped to develop an interest in the subject.
