It has been a long while since you’ve had a new Cutter’s Creek book to enjoy, and perhaps this one looks a little familiar. If you’ve joined my newsletter, the cover certainly is. For the last 2 years, I’ve given away this story as a thank you to those who have joined my list.

However, I’ve received so many requests to lengthen this story, to give more of Cora and Peter, that I just couldn’t ignore it. So, I’ve expanded the story and revised it from its original, and now I’m releasing it to everyone.

This story takes place between Annie Boone’s, Committed and A Lily Blooms. During that time, Cutter’s Creek changes quite a bit, including a new reverend, and several families leaving the area. There is about six years that separate the stories, and towns like Cutter’s Creek would’ve been constantly changing. But, I’m sure you’ve realized from my stories that some stay the same. If you look carefully, you’ll see characters from past books that you’ve loved in my Cutter’s Creek books.

Montana, October 1890

Cora Hardstone stared out the window at the jagged line of the Bighorn Mountains. Home. At least they’d been home until eight years before when her parents had died. According to the blue uniformed porter, they’d reach the small town of Cutter’s Creek within the hour. A shiver skittered slowly up her back. It was the last stop. There hadn’t even been a railway in the town when she’d left. Her groom waited for her there. Peter. He’d nary spoken a word to her while she’d lived there, but he had in her dreams.
