      Barnabas Rex, gentleman adventurer and all around Good Guy, fiddled with the rope bindings as he hung from the ceiling of his own Hangar.

      It was supposed to be a simple task; an easy job, a breeze, just a little side project while he waited for a bigger score to come in.

      It wasn't supposed to be like, well, this.

      His spunky sidekick; Candace Jones, wasn't supposed to be on some retreat with the rest of the ladies in the motor pool (whatever that was, he glowered) from the office.

      She was supposed to make sure he didn't take on stupid jobs like this one.

      Mistakes were made, he sighed softly as he stared longingly out the open window.
