About this ebook

Creating a family is one thing, but leaving another one behind is a little more complicated...

Cameron Strikes has settled into life as the consort of the mightiest of the Ancient Gods. As Zeus' lover, and the father of his child, his life (and his immortality) has changed forever. But something is missing, and with Christmas approaching Cameron can't help but think about the family he left behind.

After begging Zeus to let him take their daughter to the mortal world to meet her family, Cameron's hope for a beautiful family reunion could be ruined by the arrival of an unexpected guest. The truth about his new life as with Zeus could spell disaster for Cameron's holiday plans, unless he can keep his secret long enough for the presents to be opened... the only problem? Cameron is a terrible liar.

Immortal's Wish is a sweet, contemporary holiday novella (approx. 12,000 wds) set in the world of New Olympians.

    About the Author

    IMMORTAL’S WISH

    Cameron

If you’d told me a year ago I would be swept off my feet and carried away by a literal god, I would have laughed in your face and reported you to campus security. No crackpots on university grounds. No, sir.

If I’d known then what I knew now, would I change anything? Would I have said no?

The air in the vast bed chamber was cool and soothing and the dim light made my eyelids drift closed again. Beside me, the muscular form of my immortal lover stretched across the bed, taking up most of it, as usual.

Zeus, Thunderer, mightiest of the gods on Olympus, was mine. He’d chosen me, and I’d been made for him. Utterly ridiculous, right? That someone like me, a wannabe starving actor from Brooklyn, could be here... beside him.

I opened my eyes and stared up at the marble columns that rose to the towering ceiling and disappeared into the clouds that always hung there, drifting along invisible currents and sparkling occasionally with little bolts of silent lightning. It was impossible to tell the time of day here. Then again, it was impossible to tell time, too. When I was tired, I slept, when I was hungry Zeus brought me anything I asked for.

Time, like everything else, was different here.

I ran a hand over Zeus’ back, trailing my fingers over his spine without thinking about anything in particular. I felt his skin shudder under my touch and the familiarly intoxicating tingle of electricity traveled up my fingers and into my shoulder. It always made me smile, this eternally sizzling connection between us. He groaned quietly and reached out to wrap an arm around my waist. That electric current raced through my body everywhere our skin touched and I moaned softly as his mouth found mine. Hot and insistent even though I’d woken him out of a dead sleep.

I’m sorry I woke you up, I murmured against his lips.

Are you really? he growled in reply. I felt his cock hardening against my stomach as he pulled me closer and took my breath away with another lightning-filled kiss.

My desire for him flared along with the electricity in my veins as I tangled my hands in his dark hair and returned the passion of his kiss.

I half expected my daughter’s cry to interrupt us as she so often did, but there was only silence and I began to relax into Zeus’ arms as his lips traveled over my jaw and down to my collarbone. Since Amphitrite’s arrival on Olympus, and her agreement to help break Hera’s curse, she had been a constant presence in the nursery, and had insisted upon moving her sleeping couch there so she could keep an eye on the children. She was also acting as a nurse to both Gideon and Noah, who were both perilously close to their time.

More children for Olympus. The thought filled me with hope and longing, and also with a sadness I’d been trying to keep at bay.

What’s wrong? Zeus asked me between kisses that trailed down my breastbone
