Five hundred years into the future, the planet Earth is a totally different place than the one you are familiar with today. No longer are humans the intelligent and dominant force that monopolize the worlds functions, activities and resources. The days of humans are a distant memory only remembered by a few. Humans are now consigned to myth and legend and will never return. The world five hundred years into the future is an entire ocean, the last remaining land mass was lost some one hundred and fifty years previous to the vicious rise of the ocean.

One hundred and fifty years previous to the loss of the final land masses there was nothing humans could do to stop the rise of the ocean/water, squabbling and civil war between human tribes during the humans final one hundred years existence stopped then working together on any potential technological solution to the problem. All the humans’ technology was destroyed during their civil war as they fought between themselves for the last remaining land masses and resources.

The few remaining humans that survived to the moment after the loss of the final land mass battle were soon at the mercy of the creatures that filled the ocean.

Within days the remaining humans were exterminated by the creatures at the historical battle of Dry Mass. Myth as been passed down through the last one hundred and fifty years that two humans survived, but these humans have never been seen, and maybe this myth is only a false hope that humans survived and one day will return. Since the days of the battle of Dry Mass a new order and structure has developed across the ocean and this novel is one of the many stories.

Please note that I have tried to be accurate within this book regarding time periods and events, but all time recordings and logs were lost with the fall of the human race, so allow for a small percentage of inaccuracy and conflicting stories because different sea creatures always tell a different way of events and record things in their own languages and time measurements.

The rise of the Catfish kingdom is a story set approximately fifty years after the battle of Dry Mass following on immediately from the first Novel in the ocean world series The Whale Kingdom Quest by Ming Wei. It introduces to the ocean world for the first time the Catfish kingdom and the menace and dangers to the ocean world that they bring. The big question is why after approximately six hundred years of living anonymously, why have they chosen this moment to rise from the depth of the oceans? What are their intentions?.

The deepest and dark areas of the ocean world contain high levels of toxic and radiation contamination, many sea creatures believe these environmental areas of the ocean contain nothing but death and destruction and very few sea creatures venture into these realms. These areas are the waste lands of the ocean world where nothing lives or grows. How wrong many sea creatures are, for hundreds of years the Catfish kingdom have lived in secret from the rest of the ocean world in these waste land areas, spending so long a time in these contaminated areas they have become immune to the toxic and nuclear environmental contamination and pollution.

The paradox that now exists is that the Catfish kingdom bodies have become transportation for carrying diseases, toxic pollution, nuclear radiation and should they venture across the many different areas of the ocean world, they will transport these potential dangers and methods of destruction with them. Unknowing to the Catfish kingdom they would become the harbinger of death, with the potential to affect other sea creatures and sea plantation all through the actions of the human race many years ago.

Unaware to Tenby the whale, The Whale Catcher survives against impossible odds following his defeat by Tenby and the sonic gun at the end of The Whale Kingdom Quest novel. The rise of the Catfish kingdom novel begins with The Whale Catcher aware of the existence of the sonic gun weapon and the importance of it. He now enters a race against time to inform the rest of the Shark Kingdom so that they can build technology to protect and defend the sharks against such a device before they launch any future attacks on the Whale Kingdom. If the Shark Kingdom does launch an attack without protection against the sonic gun it could be potentially disastrous for their warriors.

In the rise of the Catfish kingdom Novel. The Whale Catcher believes that maybe the answer to protect the Shark Kingdoms warriors is to create some form of mask from sea bed plantations that would reflect the rays of the sonic gun and protect the shark's head. In his current weakened and vulnerable condition The Whale Catcher is in no position to maintain his tracking and pursuit of Tenby the whale, because another direct conflict with the sonic gun would surely kill him. His first priority must be to return to the Shark Kingdoms capital, inform his superiors of the knowledge he has gathered and regain his strength.

During the rise of the Catfish kingdom Novel, the Shark Kingdom and sea snake kingdom will unite in their battle against the Catfish kingdom. We will learn more about about the mystical telepathic abilities of the occult worshipping Priests within The sea snake kingdom.

The Catfish Kingdom

Since the era when humans ruled the world the Catfish kingdom for at least six hundred years (accurate official time figures not available, open to debate and disagreement) have lived in the deepest and darkest unexplored areas of the ocean keeping their existence secret and private. Constantly throughout the generations since they first moved into these locations the Catfish kingdom have watched, learned, lurked and moved from a distance amongst the shadows and ruins that are scattered throughout the ocean world going unnoticed. In a similar observant style to that of the crab kingdom that currently live in the underwater city of Oslo, with curious and interested eyes they have watched many events unfold from a distance.

Years before the battle of Dry Mass which saw the final defeat of the Catfish kingdom sworn enemy of the human race, the queen of the Catfish kingdom took the remaining members of her species deep into the darkest depths of the ocean, an act she implemented to protect the future of her kingdom. Following years of many of her fellow Catfish being killed by the humans race for food and sport, the fish stock numbers in the Catfish kingdom were worryingly low and down to less than a approximately one thousand in total, and with the human race showing no sign of stopping the butchery of her kingdom, she had no alternative at that moment in time other than to relocate her kingdom to a place were they could not be persecuted..

The Catfish kingdom’s hatred for the human race stems from the period in time when the humans known as fishermen during the era when humans ruled the world would catch members of the Catfish kingdom for food, and to invoke the hatred of the Catfish kingdom even further, any young/baby Catfish that were caught by the humans and considered too small for their own pleasure and consumption would be killed and thrown back into the ocean dead. Had the queen of the Catfish kingdom not foreseen this extinction threat to her species, the Catfish kingdom could have followed in the foot steps of many other sea-creatures at the hands of the human race and become extinct due to over fishing by human fishermen.

The Catfish kingdom queen took her remaining Catfish deep into the depths of the ocean as a species that were shaken, close to extinction, full of fear and frightened for their future. But how things have changed over the past approx six hundred years. Those timid frightened Catfish about one/two foot in size/length that entered the darkest depths of the ocean are non recognisable to the monster Catfishes that live in these areas today. These days the Catfish are similar in size to the sharks within the Shark Kingdom. Years of living in deep dark environments polluted by toxic waste dumped by the humans has changed the Catfish's physical attributes and features. Over a period of time the Catfish's bodies and organs became adapted  to the toxins they absorbed from the oceans water in the depths they live in. During this period the number of Catfish in the ocean has swelled from the original one thousand to approximately five hundred thousand making them one of the largest kingdoms in the whole of the ocean world. It is not sure what the Catfish eat and feed on because limited data is available for the deep ocean areas that they live in. Maybe other sea-creatures live in those deep areas but none are recorded.

During the human era, it was commonplace for companies trying to reduce waste management costs and boost profits to seek cheap unlawful methods of disposing toxic waste. It was common for companies to dump toxic waste in containers into the ocean, many of these containers rolled into the lower regions of the ocean down the many gorges and seabed cracks, where they have remained. Occasionally due to erosion and wear and tear to the containers toxic waste leaks from the containers and pollutes the lower regions of the ocean water, ocean plantations and seabed rocks. For the past six hundred years the Catfish kingdom have been living in areas where many old containers containing toxic waste have been present. But instead of killing the Catfish, the Catfish have mutated and adapted to the high toxin levels of the water.

The Catfish are now fearsome warriors with regard to their size, speed, powerful jaws and teeth, and could potentially be the warrior equal of sharks, they have never been in contact with other sea-creatures and therefore it is difficult to state who are their allies and who are their enemies, the only thing for certain is that their sworn mortal enemy was the human race because they were responsible for taking the Catfish kingdom close to extinction. Should the Catfish kingdom ever venture out of their deep dark realms it will be uncertain of their motive, but for the past one hundred years spies from the Catfish kingdom have been gaining knowledge and information about the other sea-creatures in the ocean.

Catfish due to their mutation over time are now able to swim and live in any ocean conditions. They can withstand extreme hot and cold temperatures, some Catfish actually live inside active smoky water underwater volcano craters. These Catfish can withstand the most polluted water levels. In future years these Catfish will be capable of swimming and living within oil slicks that some times float on the ocean surface, because their outer skin is very smooth and like silk that even oil will not stick to it and restrict their movement. The only weakness that the Catfish seem to have at present is exposure to bright sunlight. At present UVA rays will cause blistering to their outer skin layer and too much blistering will result in their  death. This is probably the result of living for approx six hundred years in very dark water that sunlight does not penetrate, but over time the Catfish body will adjust and blister less when it becomes more familiar to UVA light. Should the Catfish venture towards the ocean surface it will take their eyesight time to adapt to the different light levels. It is unclear if Catfish have ventured to the ocean surface in the last six hundred years. Very little is known about their movements. It was just presumed by the humans approximately six hundred years that the Catfish in the ocean had just become extinct, how wrong the humans were, they survived longer than the human race.

The Shark Kingdom

The Shark Kingdom and its allies are closing in on The Whale Kingdom home region at the north pole and hope within the near future to mount a full scale attack that will defeat the Whale Kingdom once and for all and remove from the ocean what they see as the last major obstacle on the route to achieving entire ocean world domination now that all the humans are destroyed. the Shark Kingdom and its allies are far the largest and most powerful empire within the ocean world. Other known sea-creature species at this moment in time are too few in number to pose a threat or worthwhile opposition to the Shark Kingdom. the Shark Kingdoms most feared warrior The Whale Catcher was recently defeated by Tenby from The Whale Kingdom but he will seek to restore his reputation at the first opportunity because his long term established aura of invincibility is now questionable.

The Whale Kingdom

The Whale Kingdom led by King Kolan have just relocated into a new home called the Ice-Fort deep inside the north pole cold water region region, this new home offers The Whale Kingdom greater protection from attacks from its enemies. The Ice-Fort is an impenetrable fortified military base which is more secure and easier defended, but the fortified military base of Ice-Fort defences requires five hundred whales to operate it one hundred percent efficiently. The Ice-Fort has systems, storage areas, living quarters, functions and devices within its structure that makes it self sufficient. The Whale Kingdom will be able to repel any potential siege techniques implemented by the Shark Kingdom or its allies with ease for years. At present The Whale Kingdom await the return of Tenby from the quest he was sent on by King Kolan. (The Whale Kingdom will be more predominant in the third novel of the series. This information is just to point out the current state of play) while this book is being read.

The Dolphin Kingdom

The last remaining dolphins from the dolphin kingdom are currently travelling with Tenby the whale to The Whale Kingdom new Ice-Fort home where they will live amongst the whales. Very few dolphins remain and are no longer the military force or threat to the Shark Kingdom they once were. (the dolphins will be more predominate in the third novel of the series. Tenby the whale finally discovered that the last few humans died years ago, and the once mighty human race that once controlled the world is nothing more than a memory, a memory that is fading more and more within the ocean world during the length of time. Like the dinosaurs that rule the world before the humans, the humans are no more and will never return. The humans were masters of their own downfall.

The Sea Snake Kingdom

Powerful evil devil worshipping occult sea snake priests located within the occult priest temple in the sea snake kingdom capital thousands of miles away from the event, had visions of the moment when Tenby the whale removed the powerful magical relic gemstones from Slithers coffin along with other materials he found in the tomb located below the seabed. The occult priests from the sea snake kingdom are becoming more powerful, the more they give their soul and spirit to the devil and the occult world. They can simultaneously see events happening from places thousands of miles away from where they are, and they are becoming the all seeing eye. Some within the sea snake kingdom believe that they now have the ability to see into future. The sea snake kingdom will not rest until they have recovered the stolen magical gemstones.

The Snake Head Fish Kingdom

Making a brief introduction in this book will be a fish known has the snake head fish. This fish originates from the Asian continental waters during the era when humans lived on land. They have a lasting hatred for the humans because many humans living in Asia used to feed and eat the fish. Over the decades this fish was transported to all four corners of the world mainly because of humans in different parts of the world breeding them for food purposes, only for these fish to escape into the local water systems, breed in large numbers and spread. These fish are carnivorous and eat other fish. In many parts of the old human era continent known as the USA the humans tried to poison entire waterways to destroy the Snake Head fish because they were having a detrimental effect on the rivers/waterways ecological systems. The snake head is a top level predator and can grow to four foot in length, many humans branded them worse than the piranha fish regarding their destruction capabilities and carnivorous appetite. They have obtained their name due to their appearance – but they are not related and they are not friends of sea snakes, they have a long body like a snake, with the same colourings of a snake, their heads are snakelike, the only thing missing is the snake tongue, but they still have all the usually body and rear fins of a fish. Myths from Asia during the human era say that these fish have the ability to breathe under water and above water, and have the ability to crawl onto and over land. The snake head fish have never allied to any other sea-creature, they dislike humans most, but have no idea of what other sea-creatures are allied to the humans or the humans enemies. This would not make much difference to these fish because they do not like to have any form of masters, and it is very unlikely that they would allow sharks and sea-snakes to tell them what to do. The snake head fish answers to no other.

We will learn how the actions of the human race did not stop at just wiping out their own race, but also how they threaten to wipe out many more creatures living in the ocean world, and whatever the Catfish kingdom have become it all originates from the human race and their actions and activities.

At the beginning of The Whale Kingdom Quest novel Tenby the whale was sent on a quest by King Kolan of the Whale Kingdom to find the last remaining dolphins and to discover if the myth about humans still being alive were true. Following an epic adventure were he encountered new friends like Seedy the bird, from the bird kingdom, various different sea-creatures and one of the most fearsome enemies in the ocean and the ultimate killing machine The Whale Catcher from the Shark Kingdom. Tenby discovered that some humans had survived the battle of Dry Mass and were kept safe for many years by a faithful tribe of dolphins, but these remaining humans died many years ago but importantly left behind a weapon which the dolphins call the sonic gun that was designed for the fight against the Shark Kingdom.

After surviving a fight/battle during the final chapter of The Whale Kingdom Quest novel with the fearsome legendary shark The Whale Catcher in the caves where the last few remaining dolphins were living. Tenby accompanied by the last remaining dolphins believing that The Whale Catcher is dead, set off on a journey back towards The Whale Kingdom new home named the Ice-Fort which is located closer to the north pole region than The Whale Kingdom old home location, due to the endless encroachment of warmer water on their realm and the potential dangers that warm water brings.

During The Whale Kingdom Quest. The Whale Kingdom for defensive strategic advantage and protection against the Shark Kingdom, which cannot maintain lengthy periods of attacks within cold water regions, was forced to relocate their home closer to the north pole in order to remain within the ever changing cold water regions which is the long term effect/result of global warming that was started by the humans during the era along time ago when they ruled the world.

Tenby sets off on his route home at the end of The Whale Kingdom Quest novel, taking the sonic gun, all relevant documents (and various items he gathered during his quest) with him hoping that the scientists within the Whale Kingdom can build more sonic guns and gain advantageous knowledge from the items he has gathered which they could potentially use in endless battle against the Shark Kingdom and their allies.

The Story

The Whale Catcher Survives

Main Story

The rocks began to shake one more time, causing more dust particles with every shake to disperse upwards into the already dust polluted water. The water in this area had now become more rock dust than water and was deep reddish in colour, any sea creature breathing this quality of water into their respiratory system would surely face death instantly. But there was no danger of this happening because Tenby and the remaining dolphins had long since left this place, maybe six hours ago, maybe longer, but who knows exactly how long because there was nobody here to monitor the time.

The rocks shake and shake again each time sending more dust particles upwards, difficult to identify the reason through the dusty dark water, where visibility was decreasing dramatically by the second. but this was not another rock fall because it was only the rocks on the cave floor that were shaking, this was not another earthquake from beneath the seabed because only an area two metre square on the seabed was shaking and the rest of the seabed floor was stable and not moving

This cave system was now almost non-recognisable to the homely condition it was hours earlier when it was home to the last remaining dolphins. This destruction and change was the result of the battle between Tenby the whale armed with the sonic gun and The Whale Catcher that took place in the corridors and rooms of the former home of the dolphins. The battle lasted only a short period but the damaging effects to these cave systems will last much longer. Maybe in years to come this cave system will again provide shelter and home to a form of sea-creature because the foundations and structural outlines of the corridors and room layouts are still slightly in place but they will take many weeks and months of repair work to recover their past structural standard. Should any sea-creature make these caves a home I don't think it will be the dolphins, the last few remaining dolphins and Tenby were very lucky to escape the clutches of The Whale Catcher and without the sonic gun weapon they would have potentially perished.

Even though this large sized cave system was used by the dolphins for many years as their secret home following the battle of Dry Mass, the dolphins were not responsible for the cave systems original creation (although the dolphins did do some constructive alterations and updates, like adding the watchtower area and corridor plus others so that it could accommodate dolphins and Humans together), and neither was this cave system created by nature.
