About this ebook

I ran to the latrines and hid in one of them waiting for all the students to leave. I closed the door and cried so hard that my tears dried up. I felt like time had stopped, but had to wait until the storm calmed down. I only went out after I was sure that the school was completely empty. On my way home I decided that would be my last day there and that I will never go back again.  I had suffered enough and I couldn't handle any more drama.

I went back home, closed the door of my room and lay on my bed. The horror of that day kept coming back and I felt really silly. I buried my face in a pillow and cried till I drowned in tears, Why?  Why?..

How I Destroyed a Famous Youtuber Within a Few Hours - FAKIRI HANANE

The school bell rang and my voice mixed up with the noise of the students as they rushed to get their things as quickly as they could; as though imprisoned for years and have just been set free. In a hurry, they all greeted me as quickly as they could, but Emmy stayed behind. She came to me with one of her drawings; that caught my attention. I admired the accuracy of her drawing and her fabulous choice of colors. I complimented her with a glaring smile and she grinned back, then, I asked her who the child she painted was.

She answered innocently, "He's my brother, William, and I have drawn wings for him because he flies now happily as an angel in heaven since he died in a traffic accident. Her answer shocked me and I couldn’t do anything else but hug her and assured her that William was lucky to have had a sister as nice as her. Then I promised to hang the painting in the best place in the classroom for her.

Emmy left the classroom and I kept thinking about her drawing. It was one drawing that revealed how much her little brother meant to her. It must have been a great shock to her, to lose her closest relative at the age of eight. I still wonder how she managed to get through this with her family. Emmy, at the age of eight, was already thinking like a grownup. She was one of the best students in my class, and in addition she was quiet and polite. I noticed her concentration on everything I said. Her wide eyes full of curiosity and direct questions, following me throughout the lessons. Her beautiful warm brown skin was strikingly showing her blue eyes as a beautiful fruit of a mixed race.

I worked in a private school that was frequented by children of the rich class, many of them were driven to school by their drivers who come back to take them home after school, instead of their parents. Emmy is one of these students. Just when I was about leaving the school one day I found her waiting alone while other students had gone home. The supervisor told me he had called her mother who said she had gone shopping and would arrive a little late that afternoon.

My heart won't let me leave her behind and no one knew when Emmy's mother would finally come for her. I was also deeply concerned about her after seeing her drawing, and my feelings overpowered me. I sat next to her and started a friendly conversation with her, we laughed together without feeling the time speeding up until her mum arrived. Emmy was the first to spot the luxury car outside and she said: Ooh, mom is here An elegant young lady got out of the car, wearing a chic coat, sunglasses, and a pair of pronounced high-heeled shoes. Emmy, come on let's go", she called out to her daughter nervously.

Emmy jumped out of her seat as if
