19-year-old Fiona Caufield is home from college for the summer and finds out that her handsome neighbor, Jasper, whom she's had a crush on since she was 11, is now divorced.
 
Although he's 20 years older, she thinks he's a living dream and decides to give him her innocence as a perfect way to cheer him up and "bring him back to life" after his horrible divorce.
