Poetic Reflections Of A Dreamer - Tracy Lee Harrington
Daydreaming until Noon or until the Day is Through
DAYDREAMING UNTIL NOON until the day is through. The day fades into night and the moonlight shines all around us. We can dream of distant nations and beautiful music from lands far away. We do not have to buy a ticket or take a plane. We can dream about life on the open sea and what it feels like to be happy and free.
Confession of a Weary Heart
I WISH I COULD FLY on the wings of an eagle and thrill to the wind against my face. The smell of freedom in the air and be left without a care. When questions arise about my past the only thing I can do is look into space and my mind begins to race, and I want to run from this place. The past is a desert of broken dreams and toxic schemes. Loud controlling manipulating screams. Destroying my house of dreams causing me to lose my faith in the human race. Memories crowding out my time and place. These are confessions of a weary heart. I do not want anyone to take my place.
I am now awaiting love’s sweet embrace.
He Didn’t Forget my Name
I HAVE BEEN HIDING in the shadows where no one can see. I feel all alone and you softly call my name. He didn’t forget my name. When others go their way and everything seems the same. He didn’t forget my name. When pain and loneliness is raging inside of me. You come to me amidst my pain. He didn’t forget my name when everyone goes their way and everything seems the same. Loneliness is raging inside of me and you call my name and I am no longer lonely.
I Am Down on my Knees, Here Comes the Rain
YOU ARE STANDING WITH me through the wind and rain. I can feel the wind surrounding me and it fills me with heartache and pain. Other people may thunder negative words at me. Their harsh words are raging inside of me where no one can see. You calm the storm inside of me. Now I am happy and free, no more war raging inside of
