Cindy's Prayers: One Heart Touching Another

When one hears the word, prayer, often times they turn and run the other way. Prayers can be stuffy and very formal. Sometimes even hard to understand. I was determined to keep my prayers anything BUT that!

Life can be very challenging, and many times we dont know which way to turn. My goal in writing this collection of prayers was to take some of these challenging times, and make them less trying. To be able to see a different point of view. A new way of understanding.

I by no means have all the answers. But, by sharing some of my stories, I am hopeful that I can express my thoughts on life in general, and possibly be an inspiration to others. Please enjoy them. I enjoyed writing them. For myself, and now...for you.

A PRAYER OF THANKFULNESS AND HUMILITY

Dear Lord,

I’d like to thank You for the many blessings You have given me over my lifetime. A wonderful family to be born into, who cared and nurtured me, and taught me of love and of You.

Thank You for showing me the paths to take, as I ventured within this human world. Knowing that it was my choice, and even if I made the wrong choice, You would still be here.

Thank You for my career. Hopefully I am an asset to my community, and fair and somewhat generous to my staff. Thank You for giving me time and talents with which to help those less fortunate than me, and the knowledge to understand why.

Thank You for my entire family, and all my friends, without whom I would be lost.
