INTRODUCTION

W hen the Lord gave me this message for the body of Christ, He told me that one of the main reasons why our dreams have not come true is that He did not give them to us. We dream because of desire. God dreams because of purpose. Your Creator did not simply allow you to be conceived and born because there was nothing else for your parents to do but to make a reproduction of themselves. God has a purpose for you!

Purpose is defined as an intention, wish or prayer. God’s purpose is His determined will for you. The Word of God expresses that will. Do you know what God is saying in His Word concerning His purpose for you?

If you have experienced setbacks and failures in the pursuit of your dreams, you may be wondering why your life has not turned out the way you wanted. Did you ever consider the possibility that the Lord may not have endorsed that plan for your life? When you plan your life apart from God, you can expect disappointment. Perhaps you have been devastated by these disappointments and are questioning God as to why your desires have not come to pass. You need to stop and ask yourself a question: Are my dreams the dreams that God has for me?

The word when means after, if, in that day, from or during. Once the desires you have dreamed have not come to pass, it is time to deal with reality. If you have always wanted to go to college but did not, it is time to stop mourning the fact that you didn’t go to college. Or maybe you were involved in a relationship that was unwise and it cost you a lot of heartache. Let it go. If you were not born into the family or to the parents you might have wished, confront the reality of your situation. It is useless to wish
