Mother’S Whispers Breaking the Chain: Poetry and Short Stories
()
About this ebook
Courage to change the things I can
And the wisdom to know the difference
Saint Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray;
and do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host,
by the Divine Power of God,
cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits
who roam throughout the world seeking the ruin of souls.
Ask through Devine intervention of our Lord Jesus Christ, our Lady, the Holy Spirit, all the holy saints and Holy angels to descend upon you/us. Ask St. Michael our protector to take all the evil spirits away from you/us from our families our homes etc... and place them in front of the holy Tabernacle. From there with the aid of St. Michael that God will banish all the evil spirits into the pits of hell. Nevermore for them to roam this Earth. For the ruination of souls.
Pray the Rosary Daily. Pray from the Heart
Devote one hour on Sunday, go to Holy mass.
Every soul that is born God gave a Holy Guardian Angel to watch over and protect us. If you dont ask your Guardian Angel he cannot help you.
God does not intervene with our free will. We are free to choose our own Journey.
That road is made easier when we have belief in God and his Heavenly choir.

Homestead by the Sea
image01.jpgLast night I went down memory lane, just as I closed my eyes,
To a little cottage by the sea, in the heart of Ballycroy
Fond memories, I will keep with me until the day I die
For in that family home, eleven children laughed and cried
Blessed with loving parents, who always showed they cared
We never wanted for anything, though times back then were hard
Each and every one of us, we surely played our part
From keeping our little cottage clean, to harnessing the horse and cart
Periwinkles, they were gathered, the turf, it was piled high
The haystack standing proudly, sure, I thought it reached the sky
The Atlantic was our swimming pool, no boundaries did we know
Our cinema was when the sun went down and the sea lions put on a show
Father led the rosary, while Mother stirred the pot, and all of its ingredients
Came from our little garden plot
The sound of music filled the air as Dad’s hand strolled along the keys
The red and white melodeon sitting proudly on his knees
We danced around the kitchen floor, ’til our eyelids felt like lead
Then one by one we trotted off, to find the best place in the bed
Just as we nodded off, to the sound of the waves break on the shore
A loving kiss from Mom and Dad, sure we couldn’t ask for more
Next morning as I woke, I realised it was just a dream
Precious childhood memories of our homestead in Dooriel
Many changes may have happened within our family fold and we have all parted
To seek our fortunes, all around the globe
All grown up and settled now, with families of our own
Every now and then we wander back, to where we used to be
That little piece of Heaven, our Homestead by the Sea

Memories of my wonderful childhood, a special thank you to my parents that made it possible for my children to share those memories too.
A Special Gift
image02.jpgFor four generations they have done the rounds, I’m proud to say now
they are mine.
Passed down through the years, shrouded with faith, love and probably laughter and tears.
When I hold them, all my fears disappear, in my weakest moments I’m never alone, because I’m reminded of God’s heavenly throne.
As my fingers travel from bead to bead, my heart follows the one that leads.
At the end of the day, before I go to sleep, I lay them down gently within
my reach.
I’m not talking about riches and gold, it’s about my mother’s love.
For the special gift that’s been passed down to me, is just a simple pair of rosary beads.
On them thousands of rosaries said, and I’m sure most of those prayers
were heard.
For all of the riches this world can give, nothing fulfils my heart more
than this.
For when it is my time to pass on my beads, I know they will ease my children’s grief.
And they in turn will pray on the beads, and our lady will tend to all of their needs
Our lady’s words to the world, pray the rosary it saves our souls.
It’s never too late for us to start, just pick up the beads and pray from the heart.

The most precious gift parents can give to their children is faith, and one of the symbols of our faith is the rosary beads.
