About this ebook

The author believes that the religious arena has turned into a market place hence anyone can buy God and religious institutions can also canvass for membership to increase their sales. He expresses his dismay at most religions of the world and their levels of hypocrisy, particularly within the Pentecostal Christian community that is fragmenting into untold numbers and has turned into a tool of fraud and deceit; selling God, selling salvation, selling false dreams and false hopes; deploying stage- managed miracles as catch tools and also as tools of mind slavery. He is not comfortable with suicide bombers within the Islamic community who erroneously claim that such extreme level of ugliness will lead them into heaven. He says that the ways religious institutions are conducting themselves lately; we no longer know who created who; whether God created Man or Man created him for a purpose. According to the Christian Bible, Christ did say do unto others as you will have them do unto you; love one another hence the Author begs to know whether others and one another according to Christ mean all races and religious faiths since those golden rules are not being applied by those who told us about Christ.

In the name of Capitalism and Materialism, Man has almost turned into a base animal hence making this earth look like a jungle where no rules apply and where conscience and love no more have a place. We live in times when Man create diseases and create their cures. The author believes that since most people especially Africans believe in the Bible information and Bible stories, and the Bible has it that the Pharaohs of Africa did enslave the Israelites in the past, then colonialism and slavery may be human nature and a form of revenge which one must also strive to resist. Colonialism seems to be a form of ugliness just like Apartheid, forceful dominance, slavery and other forms of Mans oppressions and inhumanity against fellow Man which happens from time to time in human history which humanity must also fight to outlive. The author disagrees with the notion that God chooses some people to rule over others, hence he believes that people choose themselves.

According to the Christian Bible, Christ did say to his disciples that, greater things shall they do in his name, hence it is time that the so called Christian anointed men of God who are performing miracles only on church stages also walk on water for all to see. Unfortunately, the continent of Africa where it is said that civilization began, has more churches than factories yet the continent has failed to develop.

    About the Author

This is a hilarious but power-packed book; hence, do read all parts to get the messages clearly. Reading only a portion may not help. Read this book with some level of mental curiosity as the author is not just entertaining the readers. The information contained in this book is presented in the simplest form of English for easy and wider reading and to avoid ambiguity, confusion, and misunderstanding.

This book can only be helpful if read without narrow-mindedness or prejudice. The author wrote this book as an activist.

    Author’s Note

The number 419 refers to an article of the Nigerian Criminal Code, part of Chapter 38: Obtaining property by false pretences: Cheating, scam, fraud.

Although it is a Nigerian criminal code, it is not only a Nigerian thing but a global thing. Many religious institutions have turned their God(s) into a commodity, and today salvation is sold for money.

The whole essence of this book is to let the reader answer the question by himself whether man created God or God created man. I have brought to the limelight all the religious beliefs of the world when it comes to God and also afterlife. These two important instances are intended to bring out various discrepancies in religions and religious beliefs about God. If God is one, then there should be no reasons why religions are not agreeing with one another in practice and cohabitation. The way religious institutions are conducting themselves, it is either God is an extraterrestrial God, He is an imaginary God, or He doesn’t exist at all. I have recently observed that my beliefs in God were wrong as I adopted man-made belief; I also adopted man-made God, and in the process of researching on these beliefs and God, I found the universal God.

Being born in a Christian environment, I have believed in the Christian God and have had a little bit of a problem with the other Gods in other religions. According to the Christian teaching, only the blood of the lamb and accepting Jesus Christ as my lord and personal savior will lead me into heaven. I have lived in fears of not violating any of the Christian codes of conduct until one day I unravelled the mysteries behind many miracles performed only on church stages. I found out that most of them, if not all, are falsified. The question that came to my mind was, ‘Did Christ really come or was He created? Hence was the entire thing stage-managed from the beginning?’ Do not get troubled by this pattern of reasoning; after all, Christ did say to His disciples that by faith, they could perform more miracles than He did; hence, if His anointed men of God in this present times are all performing same miracles and the miracles are falsified, does it not imply that the entire arrangement has been created by man? I began to ask a lot of questions, including whether all the miracles they stated in the Bible really happened. The greatest problem that struck me hard, initiating the creation of this work, is the use of the Bible to encourage weddings of same-sex couples when the book of Leviticus in the same Bible condemns it. I wanted to know whether the whole thing of religions was a scam—hence perpetrating God scam. I have used this book as an eye opener, not just to inform but to heal people from mental slavery, invoke mental curiosity in matters concerning God, and remove all fears which religious institutions have planted in the minds of the people that you may no longer ask questions even when you are being fed with information that can only make sense to little children. I also want to use this medium to advise the Muslim community to address the issues of suicide bombing as I am not sure if any part of the Quran accepts such absurdity.

This book is created to invoke mind revolution and also help to awaken the world to a new reality: unless humanity turns the clock around and destroys racial and religious hatred and intolerance, establishing new and better frontiers of human coexistence with love and peace reigning; unless science is used for the purpose of enhancing humanity collectively; unless humanity lives to better itself and not to cause itself untold pain and sufferings, man will not understand the universal God. Man will continue to seek and will not find. Even Christianity, which houses those core golden rules, has deviated completely—turning God into a commodity that can be purchased with money—because of wealth, power, and control. How could there be love? Yet Christianity has fragmented into more than thousand denominations, and the Protestant breakaway is not in agreement with one another; yet their Christ did say, ‘Love one another.’

Please! I have done a lot of research to bring out the flaws of religion and the discrepancies in many religions in the world and their beliefs. I have not said that religion is wrong; rather, religion must agree on the true nature of God, and upon agreeing, all religions must adopt this true image. Religion is created by man just like politics is created by man for control, but I am not comfortable with the creation of Gods by religions. God is universal.

This book goes further to expose scams including religious scams found in many Pentecostal churches. I have used Pentecostal churches in this instance simply because I was born into the Catholic Church, which I abandoned to pursue Pentecostal beliefs, but unfortunately, they have disappointed me as they have nothing in common with Martin Luther King Jr, who unleashed the Pentecostal revolution. All they have is false miracles and false hopes.

If you visit the African continent, the darkest continent on earth where they say that civilisation began, you will think that you are seeing factories in every streets of Nigeria, not knowing that you are seeing churches. People abandon their work to waste valuable time in churches from Mondays to Fridays, seeking miracles, which they never find, only to end up giving out their widow’s might to pastors who end up with private jets, flashy cars, and beautiful women.

It is time that all these nonsense be put to a stop. I have written this book as an activist, advocating for religious reform in the world.

    Dedication

I dedicate this work to all those who have been victims of mental slavery caused by man-made religions, hoping that they will wake up.

I give thanks to the universal God for the courage and inspiration to take this bold step, knowing what the consequences will be. I thank my former publisher, Edward Tsumele of Tsumele Publishing, South Africa, for instilling confidence in me, not agreeing completely with all my thoughts but always telling me that some day, the world will hear my cry. I give thanks to my son, brother, mother, and friends for all their support. I give thanks to South Africa and all the children of South Africa for providing me with a conducive environment to write this book.

    CHAPTER 1

    Why Is This Work Important?

If you are born in Iran, Saudi Arabia, or any part of Northern Nigeria, you will most likely be a Muslim. If you are born in some parts of Israel, Judaism will be your religion. If you are born in South Africa or the eastern part of Nigeria, you will likely be a Christian. If you are born in China, of course, you will be a Buddhist, or Confucianism will be your religion. If you are born in Japan, you will most likely be an atheist, believing in nothing, and if you are born in some parts of Africa before the coming of the European colonizers, you will be worshipping either a tree, fire, snakes, big snails, pythons, reptiles, sharks, weird animals, or other deities. If all these religions do not agree with one another in practices and the perception of the true nature of God, that means they could be worshipping different Gods and someone may, in fact, be in the wrong religion. If the fate of a human being shall be decided by his actions enshrined within the moral codes established by the religion he finds himself, who will be blamed for a person born into the wrong religion since obviously different religions of the world have different practices and some of them depict ugliness in a moral sense (for instance, suicide bombing, false miracles, wedding of same-sex couples in churches with the Bible, and many more)? We need to know the religion approved by God and also whether man created these diverse religions with his dissimilar practices and the God(s) they speak of in those religions. We also need to know the true road map to life as it seems we cannot find God’s original manual. Various religions seem to have created their own God’s manual.

I am sure that you must have heard comments like: ‘South Africa is a Christian nation’, ‘America is a Christian nation’, and ‘Nigeria is about to become an Islamic nation’, ‘Iraq is an Islamic nation’, and so on. None of these comments gives me more concerns than issues like why some of the so-called Christian nations have passed the same-sex marriage into law, why they conduct weddings of same-sex couples in churches using the Bible where such an act is condemned and classified as ungodly in Leviticus 18: 22, why suicide bombers and terrorists are found mostly within the Islamic sects, and so on. These and many more are the reasons why this work is important at this point in human history. We need to establish the universal nature of the one true God for the entire human race irrespective of our various religions and nationalities, and also we need to confirm if diverse religions of the world truly possess in them the true universal God or their own God(s). Are we blind to the universal road map to life simply because of our seemingly inherent ugly nature or did the universal God hide His manual from us? Has He revealed His secrets like how He created the man, the earth, the solar system, the galaxies, and the universe to anyone? If so, who is the person or group of persons? Are there other God(s) or, better say, hierarchy of Gods?

The way in which the people, especially religious fanatics, con artists, and false miracle makers posing as church pastors, Islamic extremists and suicide bombers, and so on, are behaving lately, we no longer know who created who. We no longer know whether God created man or man created Him. It looks as if there are smaller Gods, competing for space and control of humans using their mercenaries to perpetuate this cause. If man created his own God, of course, there is mind slavery and mind control going on, which may be a form of God scam. We intend to use this material to let everyone understand that there could be a form of God scam going around, which one may not know, and also we want to throw light on what scam is generally all about. Scam is known as 419 in the Nigerian context.

This is a book about the popular religious God that man created and the universal God that created man. This book also throws light on the scams being perpetrated by man, using this man-made God. Scam in general is known as 419, according to the Nigerian criminal code. This book reveals mental slavery. This book is also written to sensitise the masses against the ugly growing trend of scams (419) happening on the Internet, in many modern-day miracle-making churches and in other religious bodies, in GSM companies and stock and investment companies, at the grassroots, and within our political structures. It has been estimated that every second, at least ten thousand scams are happening in the world. Someone out there is either selling dreams or buying one. This book contains extremely hilarious stories of 419 scam that will make you laugh and think. Four-one-nine is happening everywhere, even as you pick up your phone and respond to strings of text messages from your service providers either to enter a lottery draw or answer a simple’ question on a TV promo to win a million. Even as some church pastors are healing the deaf, the dumb, the blind, the crippled, and so on before an unsuspecting audience, 419 is happening. Anyone can be a victim of 419 scams—the pope, Nelson Mandela, George Bush, or Bill Gates. It is all about what we desperately desire and human weaknesses like greed.

Four-one-nine is the selling of false dreams, and it has many faces. This book aims at helping people abstain from falling for, or promoting any act of, 419 scam—most especially God scam—happening in religious places as wealth through such ugly means cannot be used to enhance creativity or achieve the developmental goals we need to enhance humanity. It is unwise to perpetrate scam or fraud using the name of God. We also aim at helping underdeveloped countries, mostly found in Africa, to wake up and live in reality, understanding that miracles do not happen the way they think and that man can create his own miracles just as scientists and technologists are doing today. The visit of man to the moon; inventions of phones, aircrafts, the Internet; and so on are all various forms of miracles created by the human mind, and ignorant Africans must know this today.

Sufficiently advanced technology is not to be distinguished from magic or miracles. Africans seek and pray for miracles every day; yet they cannot find any, and if they can be absolutely honest to themselves, they will attest to the fact that they have never found any since they have been asking in the manner they do. While Americans and Europeans make miracles happen every day through the applications of common-sense principles and science and technology, Africans purchase their miraculous goods whilst praying every day for miracles. The Jews, the Americans, and the Europeans have become Gods on this planet and now live in a world of scientific and technological miracles, whilst Africans live in a world of false dreams and false hopes, building castles in the air yet crave products of scientific and technological miracles. Africans must know today that heaven helps those who help themselves and also that when Jesus Christ said ‘Seek and you shall find’, He meant science and technology and not strange miracles. I applaud Europeans for understanding this early enough, though it is said that in the past, ancient Egyptians did understand it even before the coming of Christ. My worry is why the so-called civilisation they claim began in ancient Egypt in Africa stopped and how the Europeans took over and advanced more than Africans did.

The inhabitants of most underdeveloped countries of the world are those who have misunderstood the workings of the universal God and the creative power which man possesses that is also similar to that of the universal God, though in minute portion. They crave and make use of scientific and technological gadgets and tools invented by those who live in reality enshrined in logical laws and principles as found in the workings of the one true universal God; yet they live a life of superstitions, belief in myths, and paranormal miracles that never happened but are sometimes staged. They use bombs and guns that are made through science and technology, microphones, pianos, and so on. Their books that contain myths, superstitions, and paranormal happenings are created through scientific and technological processes; yet they fail to notice all these things. What a contrary! I am happy that China and India have woken up.

Christ said in the Bible, ‘Seek and you shall find.’ Fortunately, developed nations are applying this golden rule properly, advancing science and technology to better their lives and that of mankind in general, whilst Africans seek strange miracles, which they never find and which con artists, posing as pastors, stage for them. Africans want to miraculously turn a dollar into a million dollars, they want to remove blindness without proper medical procedure, and they want HIV and TB to disappear miraculously. They seek the impossible yet find nothing. Since I have been hearing of the activities and strange miracles of some Nigerian pastors like Pastor Chris, TB Joshua, Tunde Bakare, David Oyedepo, and so on, I have never heard of a day when they have performed a clear-cut miracle for all to see—like walking on the sea or raising the dead as they proclaim Christ did, but they have performed all the falsifiable ones like raising a cripple from a wheel chair, healing the deaf, the dumb, the blind, the HIV-infected, and so on. I asked someone, ‘What if that person sitting on that wheelchair was never a cripple in the first place? What if that person acting as a deaf, a dumb, a blind, or a HIV-infected person was never a victim of those ailments in the first place? What if they were paid to act as cripple, deaf, dumb, blind, HIV-infected people, and more, perpetrating acts of religious 419 scam that I call God scam?’

It marvels me, how someone could brainwash another into believing that suicide bombing is a glorified act that will lead one’s soul into God’s heaven where the person will be attended to by naked virgins and beautiful angels. You see, sometimes I wonder what human beings are evolving into. Is it the person brainwashing others to carry out such unthinkable and senseless acts that should be held answerable or the person being convinced to partake in such ugliness and absurdity? How come the victims do not ask themselves why the people who make them destroy their lives and kill others in the process cannot do it themselves? Suicide bombing as experienced in Nigeria recently by the Boko Haram sect and in many Muslim nations of the world is an act of evil, which no normal person should, under any circumstance, take part in. You cannot, in a suicidal move, blow yourself into pieces in the name of salvation.

Generally, scams destroy trust in humans and business relationships, causing emotional wreck and, in most extreme cases, death of the affected victims by suicide. These scams are abusive to one’s time and creative energy. To the perpetrators of 419 scams, I say, ‘Stop selling false dreams, and get a life, for when you hypnotise others, you hypnotise yourself too.’ To the religious fanatics and anyone of that sort, I say, ‘Stop selling God and false dreams. Stop these ugly acts, for they are the delay of our progress in this life.’

The holy books have been misinterpreted and wrongly comprehended, and Africans suffer a lot because of this. Allegories are misunderstood and taken in a plain literal sense. The African continent has failed to develop because of exploitative colonisation and misinterpretation of religious doctrines and teachings. The Bible, the Quran, and other religious books, for instance, have been presented allegorically in most instances, but it may be surprising to know that in all those instances, Africans grasp the messages literally. I asked someone how Noah could build an ark that would contain all the animal species in the world and how such an ark survived the biblical flood. What were those animals eating in that ark and what was the size of this ark that it contained all the animal species in the world? I also asked how the fishes entered the same ark and how they survived in the ark, since there was no water in the ark throughout the journey? Did Noah design a hook to catch the fishes and position them in the ark or did the fishes make their way into the ark? I asked these questions, and people laughed yet gave me no clear answers.

In some instances, people do not want to be engaged in such discussions because they as well are not certain of the facts. Most people do not believe in themselves; hence, they must believe in something. We do not advise you not to believe in something but let whatever you believe in be realistic as you may end up believing in what never existed—hence a victim of mental slavery.

I used to ask whether the Africans (Egyptian pharaohs) enslaved the Israelites in reality; I also want to know whether slavery is a normal human phenomenon; hence, the strong will always colonise and dominate the weak as also found in lower animals in the air, the wild, and the oceans. Is it acceptable to God? Should the enslaved fight to resist slavery whilst still accepting it as normal human nature? What if it resulted in the death of the victims like in some instances where the lives of the slaves could be taken at will? Did Nebuchadnezzar really turn into an animal? Did Daniel visit the lion’s den without being eaten as meal by the lions? Did Moses see God? Did Jesus heal a physically blind person or merely enlighten the people from their ignorance, which could be considered as blindness in a non-literal sense? Did He heal physical deafness, dumbness, and so on? Were there other connotations to those happenings? If Christ did all these things, how come his disciples and pastors of today are not doing the same but rather falsifying or staging theirs, creating an impression that the entire thing may have been stage-managed from the beginning? Were the messages, stories, and information in the holy books exaggerated?

How come Europeans, who have introduced the holy books and Christianity into the African continent, are not acting in accordance with the teachings of the religions and the holy books? Many of these types of questions made me write this book. I was most especially wondering whether the religious God they talked about created man or man created Him for a purpose, and if so, what was this purpose? I wanted the world to share in my little curiosity and quest. I was also wondering whether God should be externalised or internalised according to race, culture, ethnicity, or nationalities; hence, should Africans worship Euro-Jewish pseudo-political Gods through their associated religions instead of the African ancestral, superstitious, and myth-based Gods through African traditional religions? I wondered about the Hinduism, Buddhism, Confucianism, and other religions of the world and the God(s) they referred with in their various religious practices. I examined their practices and found out a lot of discrepancies. Since God is universal, there should not be inconsistencies in the practices of these religions, and they should not allow their followers to plunge into hatred, religious wars, and suicide bombings. I wondered why there was widespread hatred amongst Christians and Muslims all over the world. I also wondered whether if Islam broke away from Christianity and also which was the ideal religion leading us to the One true universal God. I ask why Christianity is splitting into multiple numbers of denominations and sub denominations every day as if the Christian God varies.

America is classified as a Christian nation just like South Africa, yet they have legalised same-sex marriages and started conducting weddings of same-sex couples in the churches with the holy Bible in which one of the books condemns such act.

Leviticus 18: 22 is translated as follows: ‘Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.’

Living Bible: ‘Homosexuality is absolutely forbidden, for it is an enormous sin.’ New Living Translation: ‘Do not practice homosexuality; it is a detestable sin.’

I thought about racism and religions introduced by humans who had demonstrated deep racial hatred toward others yet found their God and religions suitable for those they hated due to physical differences. I am not completely sure that Arabs from Asia love Africans that much; I am also not sure that Europeans who are on a revenge spree against Africans for the pharaohs’ past enslavement do love Africans that much; hence, why give them their Gods? I wondered the intent behind the introduction of those Gods and religions in the first place, which were done cunningly and, in some instances, with brute force, holy books, and guns. I asked why someone’s superior God and religion would be suitable for another who was inferior to him. I asked how and why God did not foresee that there would be racial intolerance and hatred amongst different people He created on different continents of the world. I also wonder why He permitted colonisation that made man to perceive fellow man as meat; nations will perceive fellow nations as ‘meat’.

I wondered whether man was created or man evolved, and if man evolved presumably from apes, what about the descendants of Adam and Eve? I also wondered whether there was a missing link, a linking factor or a relationship between evolution and creation. Did man’s intelligence evolve, and if it did just like languages were evolving in many parts of the planet where you had
