About this ebook

This book contains the complete story of the Lord Jesus Christ: AKA The Word of God. In this book certain proofs are presented that He was with God (the Father) when the heaven and earth were created, and that He is the eternal light of the heaven(s). He created all things and the worlds. Mankind (male and female) is his special creation, and angels are created spirits watching over the welfare of mankind.

It was O Lucifer, the great dragon, that old serpent, called the Devil and Satan who brought sin into the earth and caused the deaths of Adam and Eve. Angels left heaven to live on the earth during Noahs time. O Lucifer started war in heaven, and in defeat was confined to the earth.

Christ Jesus was a close friend of the prophet Abraham, Moses, Elijah, and the prophets of the Old Testament.

He is truly the Savior of mankind, the only begotten son of the true and living God. He is the great prophet, for He revealed to us the past, present and impending future. He came and left this earth on a prophetic time table. He is our Passover from death into everlasting life. He is the resurrection of the dead (both good and evil). He is the baptizer of the Holy Ghost (the Spirit of God), and He will judge the works of mankind to include spirit beings (angels).

    Preface

Many authors have written concerning the authenticity of the Lord Jesus Christ as the Messiah. The Hebrew writers of the Old Testament foretold of his impeding coming to the earth. New Testament writers sustained the Old Testament writing, and implied Jesus Christ is God: the Son of God.

So thousands of books have been published, countless articles written, numerous movies produced, and hundreds of Christian religious denominations formed to try to get at the truth of Jesus Christ. But I believe that what it all boils down to is what’s written in the Holy Bible. For this is the only informational source about the mystery surrounding the man Jesus Christ. Foretold prophesies, his birth by a virgin woman, his fulfilling of ancient prophesies, his powerful miracles and awe-inspiring teaching, the circumstances surrounding his death (on or around the time of the Hebrew Passover), his burial in an unmarked grave, and his resurrection from the dead are all contained in this one book.

In my first book, Searching for Jesus—A Bible Study Book (ISBN 9781609576677), published in 2010 by Xulon Press, I presented Scripture (Old and New Testament) as a basis for examination, study, and discussion to explain my research in finding the physical presence of Christ Jesus throughout the Bible.

However, feedback indicated the book was a bit over the top for those who have not really studied the Scriptures, and more explanation was needed. In this book, after much thought and input from fellow Christians, I decided to concentrate on what the New Testament writers wrote about Christ concerning the past (the Old Testament), the present (the four Gospels and the Epistles), and the future (the book of Revelation).

This book is a compilation of over twenty years of my personal Bible study notes, garnered from teaching Sunday school, writing sermons, studying authors, reviewing other Bibles, compiling newspaper clippings, critiquing movies, listening to televangelists, reading magazines, keeping up with tabloids, and the like. So if at times I step out of the traditional box or seem to be reaching or stretching to get at an answer to a certain Scripture, remember I’m trying to explain a difficult subject concerning the Lord Jesus Christ—the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, the first and the last, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, which is and which was, and which is to come.

My hope is that it will reach the eyes, ears, and minds of those who are hungry for the truth concerning Christ Jesus and those who like to debate this subject. Therefore, I ask that you please be patient with me and not take my research as fact. Conduct your own study to verify or debunk what I have written.

    Introduction

This is concise, thorough, and theological research on the complete story of the Lord Jesus Christ (aka the Word of God). Presented are proofs he was with God (the Father) when the heaven and earth were created. That he is the eternal light of the heaven(s). That he created all things on and under the earth. That the sun, moon, and planets were created after the earth was established. That humankind is his special creation, for humanity is a spirit contained in a fleshly spacesuit. However angels are created spirits watching over the welfare of humankind.

That it was O Lucifer—the great Dragon, that old Serpent called the Devil and Satan—who brought sin, death, and destruction to the earth. He lied to Eve and Adam and caused their sure deaths. That angel’s left their home in heaven to live on the earth during Noah’s time. That O Lucifer started war in heaven and, in defeat, was confined to the earth until judgment day, when he will be thrown into the lake of fire.

That Christ Jesus physically visited with the prophet Abraham and knew him as a friend. That he was with Moses and the children of Israel as they traveled through the Sinai wilderness for forty years. That he was a close friend of Moses and Elijah. That he visited with the prophets of the Old Testament.

That he is truly the Savior of humankind, the only begotten Son of the true and living God. That he is the Great Prophet, for he revealed to us the past, present, and future. He came and left this earth on a prophetic timetable. He is our Passover from death into everlasting life. He is the resurrection of the dead (both good and evil). He is the baptizer of the Holy Ghost, the Spirit of God.

He is the one who will judge humankind’s works, deeds, righteousness, and unrighteousness. He will also reserve the lake of fire for the abominable:¹ which includes sexual immorality (fornication, adultery, and sodomy), homosexuality (gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender), incest and pornography, uncleanness (the act of having sex with a woman during her purification cycle and touching the seed of copulation); those who practice the occult; the sin of eating blood, those who indulge in bestiality; the sin of cross-dressing; those who pass babies through the fire (abortion); and those who worship idols.

Therefore, I say to you, if you lack knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ and desire to know more, this book is for you. However, I beg you not to ignore the message I am delivering to all of humankind—the good, the bad, the ugly, the saved, and the lost—for your very soul is at stake.

    CHAPTER 1

    Jesus Christ and Creation

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

The same was in the beginning with God.

All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

    John 1:1–5

Christ Is Called the Word of God

Of the New Testament writers, only the apostle John called the Lord Jesus Christ the Word of God. He was one of the twelve chosen disciples and enjoyed a close relationship with the Lord as a member of the inner circle of three (Peter, James, and John). We know of his close relationship with the Lord, because he was the one leaning on the bosom of Jesus at the Last Supper.²

He first used this name to describe God around AD 66–68, in the first sentence of the gospel of John: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God (John 1:1).

He used it again when he wrote the first epistle of John in AD 95. He stated, For there are three that bear record in heaven, The Father, The Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one (1John 5:7).

Lastly, near the end of AD 100, John writes in the book of Revelation that Christ is known throughout the heavens as the Word of God: His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called the Word of God.³ This information will be valuable when we travel back through the Old Testament and look at certain word use and sentence structure that depicts this name. Therefore, different names may be used to describe Christ, and at times, capitalization of certain words may be dropped. I challenge you to stay continuously conscience that he is called the Word of God (the word of the Lord), and to stay focused on the task ahead.

    Jesus Christ Is God

The apostle John flatly stated Christ Jesus was with God in the beginning and was God. This seems to be the great controversy concerning his deity. The Jews of his day would not accept his claim as the only begotten Son of God and brutally rejected the notion he was equal to God. However, John in his gospel left us with fourteen quotes from the Lord Jesus Christ in which he declared he is the only man to have seen the Father; that God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth; that he and the Father are one; and that The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise. For the Father loveth the Son, and sheweth him all things that himself doeth.

Just before Jesus submitted himself to the cross, he looked toward heaven and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee: As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent (John 17:1-3).

Now I don’t want to belabor this, but after research, you should be able to see how the Jews struggled with Christ Jesus being the Son of God and God. This tussle of thought still finds its way into the hearts and minds of people in this twenty-first century. They accept that Christ Jesus was a good man and even a prophet sent from God, but they wholly reject the notion of him being the Son of God and God. Yet, the proof is in the Scripture of the New Testament—that is, if you accept these writings to be true! Further, that no person can convince you of anything concerning the Lord Jesus Christ but the written Word of God.

Jesus Christ Was in the Beginning with God

Now that we have established Christ is universally known as the Word of God and is God, it is time to examine the rest of what John wrote to see if we can grasp its truth. There is no archaeological or scientific proof (except what is written in scripture), but Christ himself made ten startling statements about where he came from.⁵ Two are presented as examples.

And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was (John 17:5).

Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world (John 17:24).

By his own words, Christ says that God—the Father—sent him from the heaven down to earth. Does this make him an alien from another world, or even an ancient life force that has survived throughout the ages? The world would say yes to both, but to the believer in God (the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob), Christ is the loving Creator who came down from heaven to save his creation from total corruption, destruction, and damnation.

Yet we know from Scripture that he was born of the virgin woman Mary. So how is it possible for him to have been with the Father before the creation of this world yet born of a woman in a fleshly human body? The apostle Paul weighed in on this same question when he said, sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me(Hebrews 10:5). From this we can deduct God prepared Mary’s body to receive in her womb the Lord Jesus Christ when the angel Gabriel told her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.

Christ Jesus often told the Jews he came down from heaven to the earth and would return to his Father (God) by means of the cross. Of course, as it was then and is now, no one really paid attention to what he said, because the mind cannot comprehend how one could come down from heaven yet be born of a woman. It is the true mystery of Christ. Some would make the argument that when the Holy Ghost came upon Mary, and the power of God overshadowed her, she was impregnated by artificial insemination, or even that God had sexual intercourse with her. This may have some truth in it, but Jesus said he came from above, which means he came into the body of Mary, entered into her egg, and became a baby by divine design. I’m stretching a little here, but I’m trying to make the point that Christ Jesus has always been himself, no matter what form he chose to take.

So it wasn’t sex that God had with Mary. But like the great doctor he is, he ensured that her body could adjust to the reception of the light that shineth through darkness, In other words, her body had to grow flesh around the light, which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God(John 1:13). Further, Mary had no complications during the delivery of the baby Jesus, because she was protected by the power of the Holy Ghost, which decreased her pain during the birth."

To prove whether Christ Jesus was with the Father in the beginning we have to examine Scripture concerning the seven days of creation. However, when you look at the first five verses of Genesis, there is nothing said that gives you the indication Christ Jesus is there. Yet he claimed he was there, and John restated his claim (John 1: 1-5). Here is the Scripture for your examination.

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day. (Genesis 1:1–5)

After reading the above Scripture, do you still not find the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ? Well this is where I come in. In my research, I found you have to analyze and scrutinize these Scriptures like a detective who is trying to solve a mystery. Do it sentence by sentence, and re-form the thought of what it is saying. This is what I came up with when I enacted this process.

Verse 1: In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

Why didn’t it say the heavens? To God, the universe and cosmos are one body. But to us humans, it is divided into multiple segments of stars, suns, planets, galaxies, constellations, solar system(s), and interstellar space. I found one Scripture that may bear this out: The heaven, even the heavens, are the Lords: but the earth hath he given to the children of men (Psalm 115:16). Someone once said the earth was the center of the universe. If you take this verse at its face value, you could come to the conclusion it may be true, for the sun, moon, and stars are created on the fourth day of creation. But to further the point, it is clearly seen that in the beginning, there was only the vast heaven and the lonely earth.

Verse 2: And the earth was without form and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of the God moved upon the face of the waters.

At the time of creation the earth was a dark ball of water (liken unto other planets such as Jupiter that are large balls of gas). The Holy Ghost moved across the water to prepare it for life, for a ball of water has no form. But why are there total darkness and no light? The answer is not easily found, but with further research, I found that God the Father operates out of darkness:

After Moses and the children of Israel crossed through the Red Sea, God told Moses I come unto thee in a thick cloud, that the people may hear when I speak with thee, and believe thee forever.⁸ Then God called Moses up to the top of Mount Sinai. Once at the top Moses entered into the thick darkness where God was.

When God spoke to Aaron (the high priest, the brother of Moses) He spoke to him from a cloud resting on the mercy seat of the Ark of the Covenant: Aaron heard his voice but saw no one.¹⁰

When Moses assembled the people to give his last address he reminded them how they had heard the voice of God erupting [from the top of Mount Sinai] out of the mist of fire, of the cloud, and the thick darkness.¹¹

King David recorded that when God comes down from heaven darkness is under his feet.¹²

From these four examples, you can clearly see God does not want to be looked upon or physically known. But he does want humankind to trust in him and believe he is the creator of all things. To this end, he left us his written Word—the Holy Bible—and gave us his physical word, the Lord Jesus Christ. And lastly, he sent us his spiritual word, the Holy Ghost.

Verse 3: And God said, ‘Let there be light’: and there was light.

When God said, Let there be light, the Word of God stepped out of darkness to stand beside his Father.

This is the same light that will light up the new heaven and the new earth: and provide light for the city of New Jerusalem (which is a foursquare measurement of approximately 1,500 miles) where there will be no need of light from the Sun or the moon.¹³

Before His crucifixion, this same light took Peter, James and John up to the top of a mountain and was transfigured (before their eyes); so much so that his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment (clothes) was white as the light.¹⁴

After his crucifixion (for he had risen from the grave) this same light stopped Saul (the apostle Paul) on the road to Damascus and blinded him with his light.¹⁵ When Paul retold his story to King Agrippa, he said, that it was at noon that the light did shine from heaven around him, and that it was brighter than the sun.¹⁶

Verse 4: And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

When God saw the light of Christ he was pleased, because it is the only light that can shine through the thick darkness where God abodes. God took this opportunity to forever divide light from darkness, good from evil, salvation from damnation, everlasting life from death, the resurrection from the lake of fire, the wide gate from the narrow gate, the church from the world, the Lamb’s Book of Life from the human books of works, the Holy Spirit from the spirit of flesh, holiness from sin, the Holy Bible from worldly books, the Son of God (Christ Jesus) from the Son of the Morning (O Lucifer), the believers of Christ from the followers of Satan (the Beast and the False Prophet), the sheep from the goats, the lambs from the wolves, the shepherd from the hiring, and the preacher from the False Prophet.

Now the light of the Word of God is not the same type of light as radiates from the sun, moon, and stars. God set those lights in heaven
