At the age of 5 lived on the west side entered kindergarten at Drexel grade school a year that I will never forget. After recess and the ending of the class we were all outside playing then we lined up at the door. A little girl who was a friend at the time closed the door on my hand cutting off three fingers I was rushed to the hospital. Luckily some one thought to pick my fingers off the floor. I imagine it was the teacher. The first grade was the beginning of my learning experience I remember my first math Jesson at the time teachers used a math book that had simple math. They used a book that had adding subtracting multiplication. The pictures were apples and oranges and pears. For example: If you have three apples and you ate one. How many apples would you have left? Simple answer. 2 apples. Or if you have 6 oranges and you multiplied it by 3 how many oranges do you have simple but not as simple as subtraction. The answer of course is 1 8. For addition a problem might read if you have 12 pears and you bought 6 more how many pears would you have? Once again the answer is 18. The second grade was just about the same the problems were the same but the teachers changed. By the third grade new classes were added weekly reader were our first reading classes that had stories in them. One of the stories that I liked was the story that I am sure. Everyone has read the three little pigs. By the time third grade rolled around teachers were teaching social studies. Kind of your first introduction to things happening around the world. Not so much as politics but more of things like the first rocket being launched. The invention of something new. Like the washer and dryer that was electric Well I made it through grade school. But sadly the grade school was demolished. And the only thing that remains is some ones remembrances of the school. My High school years were kind of different instead of going to one school I attended three high schools in the Dayton area. They were Roth freshman and half my sophomore year. We moved just across the street and i8 had to attend a school named Trotwood. Were I spent a year and a half. My sophomore year were I had to start over the sophomore year Then my parents divorced and I had too attended Strivers where I finally graduated. After leaving high school I was drafted into the army. During basic training I was scared to death when I had to low crawl over barbed wire with so one shooting blank bullets over my head. But I did not know they were blanks. After spending 3 years active duty I spent a year in reserve. My military obligation was over what was I to do?

Sitting in my apartment, sometimes I look out my back window just too see what kind of things are roaming around. One evening, a little excitement came over me when a coyote came around. As fierce as they are supposed to be, it kept traveling on not really paying any attention to people around it. It never attacked any one and like most animals it was just looking for food.
I could say the same about the Deer that show up here once in a while. As far as I can tell, it is a mother Deer and her three children. Cannot tell if they are female or male deer but they are assured a meal of some kind. People put out food for them. One lady has put a salt lick out for them or maybe it is made of sugar. That would be better since salt makes you thirsty all the time. This is my third year at the apartments and I know that for at least two years the deer come back.
Sometime a resident has a party and I set at my window and listen to their music. I never join the parties. One evening it was a scary evening. The weather was strong winds. I was waiting for them to blow out someone’s window. Never did though. After 3 years of residence at the M and L Gabriel apartments on Shiloh Springs Road Trotwood Ohio. I have meet up with a lot of people. With a title like Outside My Back Window, people are expecting something evil. Like a witch flying around on her broom, a woman getting raped, people being cracked with whips to do a task of some kind. Not happening. M and L Gabriel apartments are just like all others apartments. People renting them then going on about their business or at least some are going on about their own business. Some are just downright nosey, rainy days and nights.
Some time I set hear just listening to the rain splatter up against my back window. My room is not that big. In fact the back window I am referring to is the only window I have? Not much going on in such a small place. Some time though I think of scary movies I have seen on my old 24 inch television set to keep myself from being bored I write stories. Some thing I learned to do in my younger years. No one ever reads them. But I insist on writing them. I kind of have a dream of being published.
I have even taken classes on writing. Maybe I do it on purpose. You get in your own writing style. Mine is third party writing. I am either the person telling the story or I am an observer translating what is happening or going to happen. Being the third party kind of gives you control. But that is not my intention when I write a story. It is being creative it is a feeling of for me any way writing something that others might enjoy reading. Maybe that is why I write. None violent and none cursing except for shit or damn it once in a while. Maybe the f word once in a while also or maybe a slip of the tongue with M. f. one every 5 or 6 month.
I don’t know what it is maybe I don’t know as much about English as I thought. Being the only language I know or do I? Sometimes I miss spell a word like I just did with Language Hold on let me check my pocket dictionary. Webster’s almost had it except for the Language
means of communicating. While I’m looking words what defines writing, Webster’s says look under write verb wrote, writ’-ten, writ’-ting 1. form words letters etc. produce writing music etc. to write off a debt. writer noun.
So any one writing any language is a writer. Hell woops one of those seldom used curse words. A young child writing his mother sister father brother is a writer. Anyone anywhere
