About this ebook

Robert is sooo excited to finally be a big brotherif only he could get Joshuas attention! Join Robert and Joshua on another journey in learning about autism and the importance of family!

What a touching piece! Its nice to have a new perspective on autism. We can so easily forget the impact it has on siblings.

Teka Harris, M.A., BCBA

Joshua, Im Over Here! is a wonderful resource that brings a better understanding of autism through a siblings perspective. The struggles and joys experienced by families of a child with autism are brought to light and life.

Jason Litto, Family Support Manager

Williams-Hines creatively and colorfully illustrates the world of autism through her series in a way that promotes understanding and empathy. This book should be included in school curriculums nationwide to eliminate the stigma attached to children on the autism spectrum. Entertaining and joyous, the series is also a valuable tool in facilitating the much needed discussion between parents, teachers, and children.

Latoya Bosworth, M.S., Special Education Teacher, author of The Right Amount of SunshineCultivating Little Girls into Young Ladies

Author

Jacqueline Williams-Hines

Jacqueline Williams-Hines is the proud mother of son, Joshua, who was diagnosed on the autism spectrum at approximately two and a half years old. She is the founder of No Small Victories and has been actively promoting her No Small Victories Autism Awareness Initiative for over six years in efforts to bring about community awareness and education, social inclusion and the promotion of stronger parental advocacy. Her target population includes but is not limited to minority males diagnosed with autism who are living in socioeconomically disadvantaged communities. Mrs. Williams-Hines believes that understanding the diagnosis from a culturally sensitive viewpoint will help in closing the diagnostic disparity gap between minority males and their counterparts, as well as assist parents in aggressively advocating for their children in efforts to realize more positive outcomes. Published author of now four children’s books, Mrs. Williams-Hines recently received her Bachelors of Science in Human Services and is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Education-Autism/Applied Behavior Analysis.
