About this ebook
In Beyond the Visible: Uniting Science and Religion, author Issa Gammoh ponders some of these age-old questions, considering whether there is a universally true answer. In the twenty first century, with humanitys advanced knowledge and ways of thinking, science is getting closer to resolving many of the questions that have been confounding humanity for centuries. The discovery of the Higgs field, the derivation of the famous equation E=mc2, a better psychological understanding of ourselves, and our developing knowledge about neurologyall of these and much more provide us with guidance. One way of thinking can link all of these concepts together to reach scientific answers about many unknowns that humanity has pursued for many generations.
Beyond the Visible travels a path of discovery to find the link between many unknown phenomena and theories. This journey seeks to erase your confusion with what will be the scientific evidences of invisible randomness. Expand your consciousness and understanding about life and the world in which you are living.

The completion of this book could not have been accomplished without the support of my dearest friends. Whether you were distant or close in location I give you my sincere appreciation and Love. I would also like to thank everyone who contributed to my knowledge on my way of realization, including my McGill Professors, Spiritual Teachers and others.
Preface
I hit rock bottom prior to writing the first chapter of this book, I reached a state that we often avoid to be in a state of despair, a step after the death of my emotional body, quieting the mind and after accepting the facts made me discover something grand; A portal like passage which guided me into a library-like state of mind full of information and the logic about how the universe is working. Marveled by the extraordinary realizations made me give birth to Beyond the Visible.
Beyond the visible does not only deliver the certain knowledge and logic behind a very creative and a harmonic outlook that I describe about life, science and Religion, but beyond the visible words in this book is an emotional ladder that will guide any reader to a state of deep satisfaction whether the words forming that kind of logic is understood or not. To reach that state one must read from the very beginning of this book to the very end, without skipping or jumping to different sections.
Addressed to different individuals from different academic backgrounds, Beyond the visible is a Bible of understandings connecting scattered facts and information aiming to sharpen and clear any misunderstandings about life out of a logical approach.
A great book is not about the information written in it, it about the contribution that the reader gets after reading it. Whether emotional, mental, or psychological. Beyond the visible will make you go on a journey to understand yourself better, the world you live in, and the necessary adjustments you need to do to build a greater life to yourself, it’s a starting point of a journey towards individual paradise.
The new theories introduced in this book are merely logical explanations of the universe driven from a neutral outlook on life, further investigation and experimentation is needed to verify the theories explained in the section titles Beyond the visible
this doesn’t deny their accuracy, but they act also as starting points with probably higher degrees of uncertainties towards scientific breakthroughs.
Written for the sole purpose to contribute to our system of knowledge, I hope that Beyond the visible gets to the hearts and minds of people.
Our Existence
Why are we here? This is a question on the mind of many. The answer is simple, but in all our philosophy, we make it complicated, making it hard for us to believe that the answer truly is simple: we are here to live.
Live?
you say. We already know that. What is the true meaning of living? That is the question.
Some people view living only as existing and imitating what other people do in different contexts. Others view living as making significant contributions to society. Some people live to pursue their dreams; others live to make others happy or to exist in harmony with everything around them. But in all of these cases, how do we know that we are truly living? One idea states that we truly live when we stop asking that question, not because we neglect the question but because when we stop asking, we fully experience gratitude for being alive. This experience comes about when we are in complete peace with ourselves and the world around us; when we stop asking why things happen, whether they are good or bad; when we stop complaining; when absolutely nothing can bother us; when every situation, no matter how good or bad it is, needs no explanation and has a neutral effect on us, thus contributing to our internal peace.
Internal peace is a big concept. How do we know if we have it? We don’t. We simply experience it. We certainly have that feeling of true peace at certain times in our lives. Once we first feel it, we constantly pursue it, but we do so in increasingly complex ways because societal norms keep changing, thus changing the human mind, leading to restrictions in our ability to obtain true peace.
We were born peaceful. In the very first few years of our lives, our minds are busy discovering the world around us, and we feel joy, gratitude, and complete bliss. Some philosophers and thinkers say that we can learn a lot from babies because of this perfect, neutral outlook on life. This is the same outlook that we should adopt: free from labels, free from obligations, free from responsibility, free from judgment, free from pride, free from prejudice, free from competition, free from ego. We just are, and we just live in harmony with each other.
But how do we begin to do that? you might wonder. It is certainly difficult to be responsible for living a certain lifestyle without feeling responsible. We often do things to get rid of our feelings, especially the negative ones. For example, we try our best to excel in school to avoid being punished – we act to escape from the fear we feel. We go on in life to make money because we feel responsible, because if we don’t feel that way, we may act carelessly and consequently have many problems, financial and social, which in turn would make us feel bad about ourselves or which would lead other people to make us feel bad about ourselves, either consciously or subconsciously. Thus, we try to escape our feeling of fear for these consequences by adhering to our duties.
In other words, we are in a continuous escape from our fluctuating feelings. When we successfully escape from a certain feeling – for example, fear of financial insecurity by getting pay cheques and knowing that we can pay our bills – we do so by doing our duty, which make us feel safe, and at that time, we feel blissful, until our fear returns again. As we live, we continuously fluctuate between our feelings and the bliss of escaping them.
At other times, we successfully escape from fear of failure by working hard and pursuing a successful career, which might make us feel good about ourselves. From there, our good feelings might lead us to succeed in whatever we do, in turn further increasing our self-confidence and raising our self-esteem, thus further suppressing that fear of failure.
We feel blissful at other times as well: on holidays, when we’ve achieved a dream, when we travel, when we’re married, when we have a baby, when we succeed at something. Some people experience the bliss these events generate more easily than others simply by gathering together with their families every day for dinner to be with their beloved ones. Others may find the generation of bliss more difficult than average. However, these people can find it by increasing their knowledge and developing themselves. From there, they can spread this feeling of bliss to others around them who need it.
But why don’t we always feel gratitude for living? Why don’t we always feel in complete connection with, belonging to, and harmony with the world around us?
Because we’ve created a mess and are trying to escape from it. This mess was generated by our feeling system. What,
you may ask, is the purpose of this system? What is it and how did it develop?
Our Feeling System
Thousands of years ago, before the advent of modern conveniences, humans struggled to escape from predators to survive. The escape mechanism our brain used, our fight-or-flight response, was passed on to subsequent generations because it was an effective tool for survival.
Because the fight-or-flight response helped us flee from predators, humans passed it on to their children in their DNA. The children who inherited the response used it to fight people who held different beliefs or over whom they wanted to establish power, making those who had this trait fitter than those they killed and further passing it on throughout the ages until finally, today, we maintain this survival-of-the-fittest game on many different levels in our social interactions and otherwise, and the products of evolution permeate every aspect of our lives. Whoever has the most attractive body, the better mood, the better character, the better job, the most money is considered the most powerful and often wins any explicit or implicit contest. Along our evolutionary path, we stopped using our fight-or-flight response only to escape from dangerous animals but instead developed it into a mechanism for fighting other humans. These fights give rise to a wide range of other emotions and thoughts.
Fights with Other Humans
What initiates our conflicts with other people? Is it only comparing ourselves to others, wanting the jobs of others, that we strive to make more money and do so for our own sake? This is often the case, but we also want to become more powerful than others. If we don’t satisfy this need, it grows until we act in undesirable ways. Other times, we feel weak compared to others, so we try to escape from this feeling of weakness in ourselves by fighting it, creating subconscious conflicts. Our conflicts can also originate in our body image. We compare how we look to our society’s standard of beauty implanted in us through ads featuring models and celebrities and ask ourselves, Am I happy with the way I look?
If the answer is yes, we feel empowered, but more often the answer is no, and we either flee from any situation that might remind us of our unhappiness or we fight it by either developing the confidence to accept how we look or by changing to conform to the standard of beauty.
In these and many other examples, when we are in a fight-or-flight mode, we have no chance of emotional and mental stability and cannot attain the feeling of bliss. However, there are positives about the absence of this blissful state and emotional and mental instability.
How the Absence of Peace Makes Us Move Forward: The Rise of Science
All of humankind’s creations, from new sciences, new theories, new philosophies, and new practices, all originate in one place: the mind of a thinker who asked questions and deeply needed to find answers. This questioning mindset – this instability – could have come about because of many factors, but most often, it’s the result of events in childhood.
Afterward, this instinctive curiosity is reinforced and developed in so many ways, leading that thinker into a field of study that he is good at, and from there, that person continues along the path of curiosity. Eventually, that thinker will have gained all the knowledge and awareness in his specific field of study, but, compelled on by curiosity, will surpass that knowledge and develop a new theory or otherwise advance his or her field.
But what really happened along the way to this breakthrough? The thinker’s mind was asking why, and that person’s studies fed it irrelevant answers, as though the thinker was feeding a mental black hole in the hope that in time, it would no longer be able to suck in more knowledge. This continuous lack of fulfilment led that individual to feed his mind with all the answers that previous thinkers in his field had come up with until he ran out of answers but was still unfulfilled. So what did that individual do? His mind synthesized all the information his black hole of a brain had sucked in, suddenly giving rise to a new discovery, new predictions, and new facts.
Thus, the mental or emotional instability that restricts us from feeling blissful, a feeling we need to survive and to experience the real meaning of life, propels us to evolve mentally towards the enlightenment that all prophets teach about, making new discoveries that contribute to society along the way. At the moment of this discovery, the thinker’s mind will be at peace, but that may not happen in that person’s lifetime.
Our advances and improvements in life always arise out of our need to escape from something, out of a need to run towards something we believe will give us a better life. But when will we achieve this better life? When will the world around us stop telling us that we can find true peace by changing how our minds think, that our mental and emotional instability can be controlled?
We must realize that every single creature on this planet is living in complete harmony with the members of its species and with other species. They all live the same lifestyle; their minds are in synch with their fellows’ minds and with the universe around them. It is true that they do not contribute much to the evolution of their society, or our society, but they do contribute significantly to the evolution of the universe, one of their main reasons for being. Our actions to evolve human cultures are right, but our actions to evolve the universe are wrong. We have created dangerous patterns of thinking and easily fall right into them, getting lost in asking many questions about existence and losing touch with Mother Universe and
