When I was four, I could see fairies. Once I had a reference point for who they were, my interaction with nature was a normal occurrence. As a young girl, my intrigue continued with mystical adventures, magic wands, carpets, fairy princesses and mysterious tales found within the pages of hundreds of books. Being an only child and around adults a great deal, I was able to perceive relationship threads at an early age. Observing interactions and behaviors created a well-lighted passage into the deeper dynamics and fireworks between men and women. By the time I was eight, my personal awareness had grown, my intuition had expanded and my perceptions had heightened. I knew I had a specific direction ahead of me, even when I didn’t know exactly what that looked like. My parents kept my calendar full with skiing, camping, biking, and hiking. Outdoor time strengthened my confidence and self-esteem, preparing me for adulthood. In 1966 Star Trek arrived on television and my belief in other worlds was firmly ironed into my personal fabric.

I began expanding my intellectual metaphysical knowledge when I picked up Ruth Montgomery’s A World Beyond in 1971, flooding my consciousness with recognition of what I felt to be the truth. This opened the doorway into feelings I had been experiencing and anchored my beliefs of a greater inter-connected conscious awareness. My exploration expanded to Edgar Cayce, Gina Cerminara, Jess Stearn, Dick Suphten and Jane Roberts among many, as I began my teenage years. The exploration into worlds beyond our own made sense to a highly sensitive and psychic girl. I wanted explanations and ideas for the things I was experiencing and perceiving. The brilliance of their chronicles helped light the way for me to fully explore the many potentialities available and begin to follow my path as a psychic and intuitive healer.

I led a normal life, graduating from college at the University of Oregon in Art History, which enabled me to dive into my myriad of parallel lives as I explored the past from the perspective of art. I loved it. For my graduation gift, my mom took me to San Francisco for an appointment with a renowned psychic, Barbara Courtney, (I’ve got a cool mom, aye?) who pinpointed various elements of my abstract perspective. She told me I would one day sit in her chair, extending my talents into healing. At the time I was totally dialed into the psychic element, however the ‘healing’ part eluded me. Becoming a healer didn’t make sense to me as I’d always been healthy and had no interest in biology or medicine. Boy was she spot-on—though at the time, I couldn’t even imagine what or how ‘healing’ would play into my life’s purpose. My mom’s hand was badly burned while we were there, a coffee pot having spilled on her hand, creating raised welts of fluid several inches high on her skin. It was awful. Being stubborn, she didn’t want to infringe on my play time, so she refused to go to the hospital. Another woman, a friend of Barbara’s who had studied energy healing, joined us. She took my mom’s hand and continued to ply it with healing frequencies, lessening the pain for her. This was my first encounter with energy healing. This event impacted me far more deeply than if it had happened randomly, primarily because the victim was my mother. Thus another seed was planted.

In my twenties I went into sales and marketing, taught skiing, worked for a ski resort in sales, sold computers and copiers, managed a small clothing store, worked at Nordstrom and began my own wholesale clothing company. In my early thirties, the next leap was marriage and children, staying home to raise my two sons. During those years I continued to read incessantly as I expanded my intuitive abilities. I gave readings on the side, primarily around parallel lives, relationships, and the future.

Due to a skiing accident in 1993 that caused a severe neck and back injury, where the possibility of broken neck was a consideration, my exploration into alternative health care became a constant companion. One year before this, my younger son had an allergic reaction to his immunizations that had sent him on a downward spiral. These two worlds became parallel as I sought alternative modalities that would heal both our bodies. I explored
