APPRECIATION
Special thanks go to my sister Toyosi, who stumbled on the first chapter of my draft manuscript and, without my knowledge, sought out publishers that could do a good job. This book would not have been published without her efforts. I also appreciate my siblings Tomi, Yemi and Tona, they have been an inspiration to me, and of some parts of Weep Not. I thank God for giving me such a special bunch for a family.
I also want to thank my parents for their support and belief in my abilities. This book might never have come to fruition without them.
I appreciate the professionalism of my publishers AuthorHouse and my editor Ms. Adebola Rayo. They were both thorough and easy to work with. I heartily recommend them to anyone who has publishing ambitions.
I also appreciate the Regional Pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God in Ireland, Pastor Oke, who graciously accepted to write my forward and has provided much support throughout the writing of this book. I would also like to thank Pastor Mrs Tokunbo Daniel for her painstaking work in reading and editing the first draft of this book.
Lastly, and most important of all, I say a big thank you to my friend, the Holy Spirit. Jesus left us a comforter, the Holy Spirit, and He is the inspiration for Weep Not.
Glory be to God.
FOREWORD
This book is a must read, a fine piece of work put together by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit through a wordsmith. It reads like a very well researched and interesting talk, it captivates as well as educates from the beginning to the end. By the time you get to the end, you will be looking forward to the author’s next book.
The author is a gentleman I am grateful to God that I know. He has a great love for God and is committed to a life of integrity. From the book you can almost feel his hunger and thirst for more of Jesus as well as a sense of him being led by the Holy Spirit (Romans 8:14). He is the President of the Pastor’s Seed Fellowship in Ireland, an executive of the Young Adults Fellowship, and a leader and mentor to many Christian Youth in the Redeemed Christian Church of God and beyond.
Without any doubt I know that my relationship with the author is one that will endure for many years. I am excited about his future and this is one space I will be watching, as I know that God will be using him to add a lot of colour, excitement and glory, not just to the Redeemed Christian Church of God, but the kingdom of God as a whole.
Pastor Tunde Adebayo-Oke,
Regional Coordinator
RCCG Republic of Ireland
PROLOGUE
After much anticipation, I am pleased to have the privilege of sharing with you a book that has been a blessing and comfort, not only to me, but also to those who have assisted in its publishing, over and over again.
I believe gone are the days when people suffered silently in a world apathetic to their pains, gone are the days when people grieved around us and we are lost for words, we don’t have to have any more suicides, no more anti-depressants, because the Healer Himself, the One who is called Comforter is at hand to help. This book is one for the archives, not one to be resold or given away; it will be a reference during challenging times.
I know from speaking to people before the publishing of Weep Not, that many readers are very interested in knowing what inspired the book. It was not one particular incident but a combination of many experiences, some of which are not my experiences, but of people with whom I was privileged to share in their trials and triumphs. Some of those experiences are expressed in the pages of Weep Not through poetry,
