    Thoughts Before Praying

    29732.png

W hen the words of Jesus, Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest (Mark 6:31 NIV) , describe the longing within you to spend time with God, take this My RSVP prayer guide in hand. The words within will guide you as you draw near to God.

Each instruction plus every scripture and prayer will open the way to a more intimate communication with God. The inspired words of scripture will express what has always been, and is now, in the eternal mind and heart of Our Father. The prayers are your response to Him. As you get into the flow, you will sense that you are participating in a two-way spiritual conversation with God Himself.

As you repeat in prayer what you have read in the words of God, you will be confessing to Him that you hear Him and that you desire to live by every word that comes from His mouth (Matthew 4:4).

When do I use this prayer guide, you ask. My RSVP chapters 1 through 13 can be used in many ways and at different times.

PRAY IN THE BEAUTY OF GOD’S CREATION:

Occasionally you will be able to arrange your time so you can take your Bible and My RSVP to a favorite spot surrounded by the beauty of nature, just as Jesus frequently did when He went into the garden to pray (Luke 22:37, 39). These will be the special times when you can delight yourself in the pleasure of His company for as long as you desire.

    EARLY IN THE MORNING:

Even though you might desire to spend an hour or more each day in the pleasure of Our Father’s company, other demands and responsibilities may not always afford you this privilege. However, you can train yourself to awaken in the morning thinking about eternity. Before opening your eyes, greet Our Father
