About this ebook

Jesus said, Whosoever shall say unto this mountain, be thou removed (Mark 11:23). He was preparing us for the times when we would have to take direct authority in the spiritual realm to impact things in the natural realm. The two main factors to remember are His authority and the spoken word. By this passage, we already have access through His words as long as we appropriate His name when we speak to our mountain. As a metaphor, a mountain can be anything from financial issues to health issues, rebellious children, or any seemingly insurmountable thing that blocks our path. Speak Gods Word to your mountain and watch its removal.

    Introduction

Mark 11:23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. 24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when yea pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. KJV

Matthew 17:20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. KJV

Matthew 21:21 Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done. KJV

Doubting nothing, diakrino (dee-ak-ree-no); Strong’s #1252: The word also connotes a conflict with oneself, in the sense of hesitation, having misgivings, doubting, being divided in decision making, or wavering between hope and fear.

With Jesus calling His followers to speak to their mountain, He was preparing them for situations in which they would find it necessary to take direct authority in the spiritual realm to impact things in the natural realm. Always remember that in the Spirit realm there are two major factors to remember, 1) His Authority, 2) The spoken word. Since Jesus is telling us to speak to our mountain, then we already have access to through His words as long as we appropriate His name whenever we speak it out, ending the command In the name of Jesus Christ, or In the name of Jesus the Messiah, or In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

For years I had heard pastors and evangelist preach sermons about having faith in God’s word, however I overlooked something very important. This scripture not only teaches about having non-doubting faith, but also Jesus was telling His followers (and us) to DO something. He told them to speak to their mountain! Now we all have mountains that are seemingly insurmountable things in which we can not seem to get over, can’t seem to be able to go around it, as it just seems to block our path. The mountain is anything that is adverse or contrary to the Word of God for your life. A mountain is anything that is a barrier to you completing God’s Will. A mountain is anything that is slowing down or impeding your progress in the Kingdom of God. Now, I believe that this mountain was not a literal mountain but a metaphor. It could be an illness, a troubled marriage, maybe financial burdens, rebellious children, a bad job situation; He is telling us to speak to that mountain. Not just pray about it, but to verbally speak out, because this is a call for action, it is a call for you to do something, to take dominion over it by speaking God’s Word to that mountain. It does not matter what the mountain is in your life. Many believers spend time praying to God about their mountain. They describe the mountain in full detail to God. They inform God of the exact dimensions of the mountain. They cry and moan to God about what a hindrance or impossibility the mountain is in their life. Some people even use the mountain as an excuse for nonperformance in their Christian life. Many believers will pray for Him to speak to their mountain. God will never do what He has commanded you to do. You pray to God to receive what Jesus has already made available to you Mark 11:24. It is your responsibility to speak to the mountain in your life. Jesus didn’t tell us to pray to God about our mountain. He said for us to speak to the mountain; that is, speak to the mountain in His Name. Jesus didn’t tell us to ignore or fall into denial about the mountain or problem. We are not to practice positive thinking and say over and over that it is mind over matter and that with a good attitude we will eventually will it out of their path (Humanism); although a positive attitude is a step in the right direction, but that is not what Jesus said to do with your mountain. Jesus said to speak to the mountain and tell it to be moved. Jesus said that any believer can tell a mountain to be removed when He said, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. Matthew 17:20 KJV

Seed faith, God has a way for getting your needs met, your problem solved. That way is rooted in your faith’s becoming a seed. When you plant a seed, God changes the nature of that seed so that it becomes a plant; and the power of life surges in that tender young plant to such a great extent that even a mountain of earth cannot stop it from pushing upward! Jesus says our faith in God is like a seed. When we put our faith into action, that is, when we release it to God, it takes on a totally new nature. It takes on the nature of a miracle in the making. So, what is the mountain in your life? Is it loneliness, loss of a job, disease, a broken relationship, trouble in your home, etc? Jesus has shown us the way to see that mountain removed!

First, scriptures tell us that you have a measure of faith (Romans 12:3). It lives within you, because God’s word tells us that each was given a measure of faith, so the very least amount is the size of a grain of a mustard seed, yet even that small amount can unearth a mountain of rocks and earth. Second, scriptures say that this faith comes by hearing the Word of God (Romans 1:17). Third, scriptures tell us that you can apply your faith to see your daily needs met, by doing something as an act of faith. You plant that grain of mustard seed of faith into an action of love (Matthew 17:20) After your seed faith has been planted and growing, then SPEAK to your mountain, speak the Word of God to it, and watch God remove it!

Prayer and fasting has its place in God’s Word, but Jesus did not tell us to do either one when dealing with the mountains in our life, so be encouraged! Jesus shows us the way to see the mountain removed! This Mountain is not a problem for God to deal with through committed people who accurately understand their authority and know His power, His will, His purposes, and His provisions. However it is the believer’s responsibility to:

    1. To believe that you receive when you pray, not pout and doubt and do without.

    2. To speak to your mountain you can rebuke & bind (Matthew 18:18), and take authority to the problem, and cast out the problem from you body, circumstance, or environment in the name of Jesus of Nazareth.

Matthew 18:18 Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

Bind and Loose Jesus was teaching us here that He was passing on to all who believe His authority or control to bind and to loose on earth. The Greek construction behind will be bound and will be loosed indicates that Jesus is the One who has activated the provisions through His Cross; the church, as well as believers, is then charged with implementation of what He has released through His life, death, and resurrection. It is very important for all Christian believers to take notice here that we are empowered to bind and to loose (forbidding or permitting), because Jesus was stating here that the church will be empowered to continue in the privileged responsibility of leavening the earth with His kingdom power and provision. This scripture is so vitally important to fully grasp in one’s heart, soul, and mind. This scripture could be considered as Spiritual Warfare 101, the very core of the power and authority that Jesus gave to us to fight the good fight of faith 1 Timothy 6:12.

    1. To speak what you want to come to pass, It shall be done, according to God’s Word (Matthew 21:21)

Jesus promised it will be done (Matthew 21:21), it shall come to pass (Mark 11:23), it will obey you (Luke 17:6), and "it will move" (Matthew 17:20). Jesus was telling us that it is the believer’s responsibility to speak to their mountain, because if you don’t speak to your mountain, your mountain will speak to you. Great faith in God is demonstrated by understanding the relationship between the spoken word and Christ’s authority. In the Spirit Realm, authority is exhibited by speaking. You speak to people that you have authority over in the earthly realm. You don’t ask or plead; you direct and require. You exhibit faith when you speak to things instead of asking God to speak for you. When you speak out instead of asking, you demonstrate an understanding of God’s Word. You can’t walk with God unless you agree with His Word (Amos 3:3 can two walk
