In every nation, congregation and generation a voice must arise to inspire, instruct and induce action that leads to transformation, that I believe is the destiny of ABIOLA Salami, an inspirational speaker. I am persuaded therefore that this book will surely inspire you to greater heights as the saying goes "whatever you desire, if you aspire and don’t retire but refire and not despair you will surely acquire.’ This is a book to start you off on the journey. ‘the journey of a thousand years starts with the first step’ start here for a fruitful journey.

This book could not have come at a better time as the world craves for exemplary leadership, responsible governance and thriving economy. Though the average person feels powerless and helpless; Abiola has shown through this great work that there is something we can do about it. It is time to get MAD!

Abiola Salami uses a diverse group of real-life examples, personal experiences, and a heart set on the high road to deliver a message we all can benefit from. He calls us to get MAD—to Make A Difference—and it may be that his prescription is the only true path (outside of Divine intervention) to peace and universal well-being on earth. We cannot afford to leave our destiny up to others. Time is fast and time is short. Stand up inside of yourself and get MAD. No one person can do everything needed, but neither can every person do the task that needs you. It is yours alone.
Don Sturgill, Oregon,
Author of Dream Into It: The Roadmap to Freedom; Corvallis, Oregon USA
"Get MAD is a refreshing read from a messenger in concord with his message and purpose. His prodigal stories are just as inspiring as his attempts to live above board, altogether these personal accounts lend credence to the central theme of the book; the call on all to stand up for justice, to get MAD in the midst of the insanity that pervades the land in order to make a difference. Get MAD is engaging and soul stirring, its catalogue of Nigerians who challenged the status quo is comforting in a nation in dire need of role models and inspirational leaders. The passion of the author is unmistakable, his convictions resolute. Abiola Champ Salami has done a brilliant motivational piece and earned his space in the league.

Every major discovery known to man is a product of a process led by a (wo)man or team considered to be mad at the time of their rare effort(s). After such processes lead to success, the minds behind such are celebrated and they are considered to be Making A Difference (MAD). Each of us has to choose between two options: being just a mere expression of statistics (1 of over 7 billion), or standing out as one who makes a difference. Abiola’s book, ‘Get MAD’, challenges the reader to choose the latter. Get dissatisfied with what you’ve celebrated long enough as success, tolerated as a weakness or complained about as failure, and reach on to bigger and better heights, to give both yourself and the world a new standard by which what you know so well can be measured. Get mad. Make A Difference!
Gbenga Sesan, Executive Director, Paradigm Initiative Nigeria (www.pinigeria.org)
Many people go through life and seek survival. A few will not settle for anything other than significance. Abiola belongs to the latter. His passion to make a difference is palpable and contagious. Drawing wisdom from his personal experiences and a robust catalogue of change-agents, he has distilled myriad of noble ideas in a simple yet powerful format. The message encapsulated in
Get MAD deserves a place in the mind of everybody who desires to make a lasting difference in the world.

A leader is called upon to make a difference in any situation he/she finds himself. He’s called upon to stand up, stand out and stand for what is right. Abiola Salami is a leader with a passion to make a difference wherever he is. That’s why he has been called upon several times to immerse his followers into a mental transformation that can lead to a changed life. That’s why we all call him The Champ.
There’s no better person to write this book. Nigeria is in need of more leaders setting a standard like Abiola Salami.

About The Author
Prologue
One of the greatest sources of change in my life from the cradle to where I am now is my mother. I am the first child of a noble Primary School Teacher whose hands were never far from the rod whether at home or in school. To her, everywhere she finds children behaving contrary to social values is an opportunity to establish a quick correctional facility.
For most of my growing up years, my father, due to the demands of his job, wasn’t always with us. We however had the luxury of spending one weekend in a month with him which became irregular at some point. (Don’t worry, he was studying for his Masters degree at that period and that was the ONLY reason for his short absence). Throughout that period to the 1st half of my secondary school years, we had to cope with the ‘strategic’ iron-handedness of my mother.
My mother’s mobile correctional facility was so effective that even several years after, some of her former students who have graduated from school, still fear to do wrong as she may get to hear about it!
My childhood experience wasn’t in any way different because there are still times now when I am about to do something wrong and I remember the pain from the whip of yesteryears. However, many times I follow my mind if I have justification for my action however irrational it might seem.
The difference she made in my life cannot be bought or wrought by anyone else in the world. That is why there is need to always celebrate our mothers and future mothers should learn from this because there is a difference between a wife and a mother. Selah!
I can never forget a particular incident when my mother descended on me like myriads of angels. During the ‘brawl’, I saw stars like I see on the heads of combatants in the Streetfighter and Mortal Combat when hit by a super blow of ‘sho-you-ken’, Chun Lee’s bicycle kick or Ballack’s ‘electric shock’. (If you didn’t play those games you may not understand. Thanks to Dada Ilaboya and the crew).
I had just failed my WAEC for the second time and
