About this ebook

After years of wandering around the world of love, I found the truth about it. I met face-to-face with that wonderful fairy Love, and she shared with me that despite the pain that was tearing her apart, she is very happy and didnt want to part with it. In my fantasy, that fairy was standing smiling among the deserted sands and was holding a heart in love. There was blood dripping from her hands, but she looked hard and firm. She split the heart in two and threw the two halves away from her. They fell with ominous strength on the glowing sand, started burning, and burned away. The fairy told me that that had been my heart, and that this evil destiny awaited it. She opened her scarlet lips and said that love hurts and it was like a cloud, which carried many tears to my eyes in love. Nevertheless, I decided to follow my heart, and it was saying: When Love looks you in the eyes, you will know, I will tell you, and then you take it right away, hold it tight, hide it here with me, to be happy.

SHE is sad and lonely. The wind steals a blue tear from her eyes and takes it away with it. It drops it in the thirsty sea and it hides it in its heart.

SHE is watching the water and decides to share her thoughts with it:

After years of wandering around the world of love I found the truth about it. I met face to face with that wonderful fairy Love and she shared with me that despite the pain that was tearing her apart, she is very happy and didn’t want to part with it. In my fantasy that fairy was standing smiling amongst the deserted sands and was holding a heart in love. There was blood dropping from her hands, but she looked hard and firm. She split the heart in two and threw the two halves away from her. They fell with ominous strength on the glowing sand, started burning and burned away. The fairy told me that that had been my heart, and that this evil destiny awaited it. She opened her scarlet lips and said that love hurt and it was like a cloud, which carried many tears to my eyes in love. Nevertheless, I decided to follow my heart, and it was saying: When Love looks you in the eyes, you will know, I will tell you, and then you take it right away, hold it tight, hide it here with me, to be happy".

Now I am reflecting myself in the water, like in a mirror and I see the eyes of the crying Love. It is so blue and fragile, but it is so huge, like the Universe, and maybe she is as small as me. I turned into a small lighting particle from the endless blue space of the virtual blue Love.

That love is just like the one the fairy described. It brought me the most incredible moments, the sweetest pain and the hottest tears. My heart got torn into thousands blue pieces of love.

I am happy because I found that „When that special little bird, which brings luck and happiness, lands on my shoulder I mustn’t let it fly away. I have to stroke it, to enjoy it and to take the happiness that I deserve out of it. If it has landed on my shoulder that means that it has picked me up. Then, I have to let the bird fly away at large. It is very possible that it will return to me, because freedom gives freedom to always come back where you felt free."

Water is standing still and is listening carefully. It is made golden by the sun caresses.

SHE wanted both pain and happiness for her:

I want to look Love in the eyes, I want to burn in its fire, I want to melt in its ice, I want my Sun to be mine.

HE knew too late that he had been wounded by sun beams, soaked with love. He is not in pain—he is happy.

One fine day they BOTH are sitting at the sea shore. They are watching the water and enjoying the sun that bathes in it. They have let the light in their hearts. They are smiling:

„What a wonderful day! Thank you, Life, for being able to feel the light and warmth, which you give us!" . . .

    The Stone Girl

The sun was scorching the hot sand. A broiling heat tortured the craftsman Dave. This morning, as usual, he was climbing the steep rocks again. For some time, he was carving the stones in that area. He was heading toward the highest place of those wondrous formations. He stopped at the foot of the impressive white rock to take a breath. Then he grabbed tightly the heated rock and started climbing toward the top. He quickly got there and started looking around. These wondrous rock formations rose in the middle of the endless sands. Wherever he looked, he could only see an infinite desert. Dave was fond of that place despite the droughty wilderness. His city was right behind the dunes, to the north. That was his home. He went there every night, but only to get some sleep. He spent all his time among these rocks. The man loved creating stone statues. He had now decided to carve a stone girl. He picked the perfect rock and was ready to start. He grabbed his hammer and his chisel and outlined the shape. He had no time for himself because he always got too carried away in his job. Many days had passed, and Dave was still working hard. He would often fall asleep on the rock because he was just too tired. He was too strenuous and talented. He turned the stone into a beautiful stone girl.

A gentle wind ruffled craftsman Dave’s blond hair. This was yet another night he was spending on the rock. He woke up and looked at his stone creation.

Hold on. Soon, I’ll be ready with you, my beauty, he said to the stone girl.

He got up and shook the dirt off his clothes. He had a tan from the sun. His strong shoulders were outlined under his shirt. His hands were the most astounding part of his robust body. Big and strong—the hands of a craftsman. The hammer and the chisel really suited him. Dave was really very handsome. His eyes were as blue as the sky. You could see a tireless spark in his eyes. He was a very good and hardworking man.

What a perfect lass! I had created my dream in this rock, he thought.

He was looking at the stone girl with unabated excitement. Many hard days had passed, filled with hard work and sweat. Whenever he would leave the rock, he felt heartbroken. He wanted to take the stone girl with him. In the morning, right before sunrise, he would return and continue working. The surroundings carried around the sweet melody coming from his hammer. He found himself attached to his work. As weird as it may sound, Dave fell in love with the stone girl. The more his hands touched the stone, the more fell in love with her. The craftsman looked at the stone girl as the wind caressed him, cooling him off.

Oh, how I wished you were real! I would make you extremely happy! he uttered and touched the lifeless stone.

At that moment, Stony, the stone fairy, stood right behind him. Dave was carried away in his thoughts and didn’t even notice her. She heard his wish and decided to offer him a deal.

What are you ready to do in order to make the stone girl alive? the fairy asked.

Dave was startled by her voice. He turned around and saw a lady with a stony expression right next to him. She looked exactly like the rock—proud, firm, and beautiful.

My name is Stony. I can help you and inspire life in your girl. But you have to pay me up with your hard work! Are you ready to do it? she asked him again.

The craftsman was so perplexed that he froze in his place. That meeting was quite a strange one. He was looking at the stone fairy, trying to make out her words.

There’s no time. You have to decide now! she said firmly and pointed at the stone girl.

I am ready to do everything. Just tell me what you want! he answered with confidence after he overcame the first shock.

I’ll turn your girl into a real woman, made of flesh and blood. But in exchange, I want you to build me a stone castle in these rocks, the stone fairy told him, anticipating his answer.

He became happy because he knew he could do it and wasn’t afraid to work hard. Stone was his passion.

    I accept! he decided definitely.

Then when the castle is ready, I’ll bring your girl to life, she replied and disappeared somewhere in the rocks.

Dave was now alone in that deserted land. On the highest peaks of the rocks, eagles and falcons would make their nests. They flew around the sky and gave a feeling of gracefulness and grandeur. Down at the foot, the desert looked smooth and spacious as if it was a yellow ocean with little playful waves in it. A stone statue was standing next to it, silent and lovely. She looked at him with her stony eyes and stony smile. Dave was holding her stony hands and gently tapped on them with his chisel.

You’ll have the loveliest hands. You’re beautiful, but you’re made of stone. I’ll make a stone castle for the fairy, and she’ll bring you to life, he told her and looked at the rocks across.

You see those high white rocks? Dave continued, I’ll build a magnificent castle there. You just stay here and watch! Everything will be all right, and you’ll be granted life from the fairy.

The craftsman tightened the cloth around his head, rolled over his sleeves and began to work. From dawn to late night, the canyon was filled with the echoes of his hammer on the hard rocks. The cliff was gigantic and difficult to mold. Hundreds of spiders and scorpions abandoned their places in the rock, scared by his chisel. Dave was merciless with the rock in the name of the goal that he wanted to achieve. The job was very hard. In the day, he would dig out the rock; and at night, he would transport the stones to the desert. In that way, the rock could be cleared out by all the unnecessary rocky pieces, and it took on new form. The craftsman built high, steep towers and deep spacious halls. The rock slowly but visibly was transforming into a magnificent stone castle.

Almost a year had passed. Dave tirelessly worked with his hammer and chisel. Bloody streams ran down from his hands, and rivers of sweat came down from his forehead. The sun was merciless and heated him up, exhausting him. Just a little more and the castle would be completed. The stone girl stood lonely on the opposite rock. Dave didn’t have time to finish it. He often passed around and talked to her.

I have to finish you, my beauty, but all my strength goes for the castle. A little more and it will be over, and then I’ll finish you. I hope the stone fairy would like it and give you the gift of life.

The sun shone all over the rocky canyon. A giant eagle could be heard somewhere high in the sky, sounding alarmed. Those scary sounds of the eagle woke Dave up, who had fallen asleep in the feet of the stone girl. He opened his tired eyes and looked at the opposite rock. The stone castle stood there in all its glory.

Everything is ready now! Look, what a castle I had built in your honor, my dear beauty, Bella! White and gentle, your name is Bella! Today I will call upon the stone fairy so she can get her castle and, in exchange, inspire you with life, Dave said and caressed the stone statue.

He got up and went straight to work. He grabbed his hammer and chisel to finish the stone girl. You could hear the shrieks of the eagles and falcons, flying restlessly around the sky. The heat was tormenting the tireless craftsman. The air was heating up, and it wasn’t easy to breathe. There was no sign of wind, even the slightest breeze to move around the sand. The insects ran around, scared and terrified. Then in a moment, a creepy rumbling came down from the inside of the ground. Dave felt some kind of instability around him. The ground under his legs began to move and started shaking.

Oh my god, what’s going on? That’s an earthquake. Help! What should I do! It will break my beautiful Bella! he cried out.

The ground started shaking, and Dave was scared for his stone girl. Confused and alarmed, he called out to the rock.

Stony, come here and bring my stone girl to life before the ground cracks and breaks her.

The stone fairy appeared and asked, Are you ready with my castle, craftsman?

Yes, it’s ready! Look over there! Can you see how magnificent and gigantic it is? It’s yours. Everything that I have created on those white rocks is yours. Bring my Bella to life because the ground is shaking, and it will break her! Dave said with a trembling voice and despair.

All right, I’ll do it, but is your Bella ready? Stony asked.

My intention was to finish today. I have just some minor details left on her. But this earthquake will break her. Please bring her to life!

I’ll do it, but it won’t be easy. You haven’t completed her yet! the fairy answered.

Please try before it’s not too late! Dave uttered.

The ground continued to shake. The rocks cracked from the pressure. Stony approached the stone statue and put her hand on her chest. The noise that came from the ground was terrifying. The shaking ground made the fairy’s hand unstable. She gathered all her strength and turned the stone girl into a magnificent woman made of flesh and blood. Dave was standing next to Bella, scared and astonished. The stone fairy’s powers were gone for now, and she moved aside. Bella fell into Dave’s hands. He caught her and put her on the ground. She looked lovely, but she neither breathed nor moved her body. It was as if she was dead.

    .%20%20%20THE%20STONE%20GIRL-2.jpg

But she doesn’t even move! What’s wrong with her? You promised you would bring her to life, he said, turning to the fairy.

Misfortunately, I couldn’t inspire life into her heart, which remained only as stone in her chest? That’s because you didn’t finish her. You rushed over. We had to wait until she was completely ready, the fairy explained.

The earthquake faded. Nature was peaceful again. Having done all in her power, Stony retreated into her new castle. Dave took Bella’s lifeless body and left the rocks. He was staggering through the desert without any direction, engulfed by indescribable grief. Blood flew from his hands, coloring the white body of his sweetheart. The fine sand blurred his eyes, and he had almost no more strength left. Far away in the distance, Dave caught a glimpse of an alluring mirage in the middle of the desert. He headed straight to it. His feet sank deeper and deeper into the hot sand. With his last efforts, Dave finally reached the tempting oasis. Three high palm trees cast slight shadows on the ground. A small spring with clear water was running between them. The exhausted craftsman put Bella’s body down and sat to get some rest. He started washing his blood away. His cracked lips took a sip from the water, which got stuck into his dried-out throat because of the unbearable pain in his heart. His dried-out eyes tried to shed a tear. He felt pain in his soul and sobbed, heartbroken. He bent down to Bella’s lifeless body and wailed.

What did I do, Bella? Where did I go wrong? I wanted you to be alive! You are everything for me! What shall I do? He was weeping over the stiff and stark body of his beloved.

At that moment of weakness, Dave was approached by the exquisite and gentle fairy of love called Love. She was created by the dreams and hopes of countless souls who were in love. She was also aware of the pain and sorrow of many heartbroken souls. She looked as if she was a heavenly angel, flying over on wings of happiness. She was a complete enigma of confused feelings, but she was shining and throbbing with great power, driven by love. She blazed in desire and passion.

Dave, would you give your life for that girl? she asked him forthright.

Dave was used meeting such strange ladies. He looked at the glorious Love, and his legs sank under him. This fairy looked different. In front of him was no other but Love, the one that lived deep in his heart. He saw his own feelings surging in his soul. He looked at the fairy’s eyes as if they were a mirror and saw his own truth.

I am ready to do anything so I can bring my Bella back to life! the craftsman uttered.

You have really suffered a lot in the name of this love, so I’ll be gentle on you. Are you ready to give half of your heart so I could give it to your Bella? the fairy asked.

He didn’t even hesitate for a jiffy; the proposal of Love seemed too easy. To give half of his heart in comparison to all the pain he had endured and the hard work he had done till now,
