Sowing Dreams: Sembrando Ilusiones
()
About this ebook
Self-taught poet Maricela Loaeza has experienced the many facets of love and already knows through her own experiences that love has the ability to transform daily life into a paradise. In Sowing Dreams, Loaeza reveals her soul through lyrical verse, sharing the joys and heartache instigated by the most powerful emotion in the universe.
Loaeza relies on an abundance of divine inspiration and discoveries from her own senses as she traces a poetic path through life’s most cherished moments. From the mother who yearns for the son she lost to destiny thirty years ago to the love she feels for the man who fulfills her in every way to the love from a God who forgives her imperfections, Loaeza’s verses inspire us to turn inward and love ourselves as much as we love those around us.
Sowing Dreams shares a glimpse into one woman’s heart as her pain, dreams, and love unite to renew her spirit and ignite hope for her future.
Maricela R. Loaeza
Maricela Ramirez Loaeza was born in Guerrero, Mexico, and is the author of two other collections of poetry—Poemas por Amor and Búsqueda de Amor. She is president of the Arymex International Literary Circle and co-owns Santana Landscaping in Santa Ana, California.

PROLOGUE
WHEN LOVE ENTERS the heart, one should feel oneself to be a privileged and fortunate being. It doesn’t matter what branches of love develop within you; the important thing is to love, and to love intensely. I think of the person who does not love or has never loved. His or her life is lacking in the purest thing within a human being: love. Love transforms you into a divine and generous being. The diverse paths leading through love’s immense labyrinth ultimately converge into what is an ever-marvelous destination: love’s paradise. That love a mother feels for her children, for her first-born from whom she has been separated by destiny and whose whereabouts she seeks by way of her book writing in hopes that some day her words may fall into his hands and he should learn that he was always loved. A man’s love for a woman that fulfills him and becomes one with him. Love from our God, who made this planet in a special way so we might inhabit it as His creation. He gives us the most astonishing things. And although we are thinking beings, we as yet have not been able to comprehend the greatness of His love. This love so pure and sublime that, surpassing distance, age, race and nationality, inspires friendship… Blessed be those who love!
PICUTRE%202.jpgDEDICATION
I DEDICATE THIS book to my husband, Juan G. Santana Barragán, to my children, Albert, César and Ariana, and especially to my first-born son. In destiny’s ups and downs, his life and mine took different paths, and I’ve searched for him desperately for three decades now.
AUTHOR’S REQUEST
THIS IS A mother who, to assuage her pain a little, takes refuge in the arms of poetry as she desperately searches for her firstborn son. She lost him three decades ago and is hoping that someone may advise her of his whereabouts. As of today, she has very little information to go by. She requests and thanks her dear readers for any help. If anyone knows the sisters Yolanda and Rosa Cruz García, Mexico City residents, please contact the author as soon as possible. They have knowledge of her son’s whereabouts. It appears that the lawful mother of the author’s son is named Alicia or Blanca Alicia and worked as a secretary at Sedued, which is now renamed Sahop. It is believed that she had twins one year after adopting the author’s son, who was born on January 25, 1983 at Hospital de la Mujer in the Mexico City metropolis.

COMMENTARIES
POETRY IS A literary voyage to the poet’s soul. The voyager longs to savor the different entrées of her everyday life and to breath the blossoms of her future fruit. Wander throughout valleys of tears in which life’s iniquity left its mark. Traverse the forked paths of love, passion and memories of her beloved homeland. You’re about to take a trip on wings of the original voice of Maricela R. Loaeza, a lady whose poetry gives tribute to life, her relationship with God and to the human spirit.
Claudia Carbonell,
Author of The Magical Series
MRS. LOAEZA’S WORDS are sensual, rich and convey great understanding of the human condition. Even those reluctant to read poetry will be touched in some way by the intelligence and insight of Ms. Loaeza’s work.
Wenona Kossler
Professor of Reading
Santa Ana College, Ca.
MARICELA R. LOAEZA’S poetry floats as fresh and nutritious water. Each word vibrates radiantly as light projecting images and sensations profoundly human. Her poetry promises a unique and authentic contemporary pathway. Her poetic spirit is real absent from fictitious pretensions; is pure and tangible and is guided by the Author’s passion followed by her need to write.
Professor Leticia Lopez-Jaurequi
Modern Language Department-Humanities Division Santa Ana College, Ca.
MRS. LOAEZA’S POETRY is refreshingly honest, sometimes delightfully down-to-earth, other times soaring to spiritual and mystical realms. Its charming imagery takes the reader into an impressionistic world of emotion and sensuality, evoking the contemplation of nature, the Zen-like meditation on the commonplace, the passion of a lover, the tenderness of friendship, the fierce devotion of a mother, or a reverent reflection on the divine.
It was a distinct honor to be asked to translate Maricela Loaeza’s poems. The task was one of the most rewarding of my professional life. It is a source of great satisfaction to be instrumental in making her gifted sensibility accessible to an English-speaking audience, which undoubtedly will receive her work with eagerness.
